Typed up month to month synopsis for Christmas cards

Im at the grandparents house reading their Christmas cards and always laugh that people still do this. A front to back typed up synopsis for every month of the past year. Seems to be older people. Always one month is dedicated for surgery. Another month is usually about how bad or good the weather was, etc. But shoot me when I get old if I do this, lol.
