The Intouchables

I just watched this excellent film tonight, and give it an 8/10.

But I have one question. Why is it called "The Intouchables"? I posted the same question on the movie's board, but the most recent post there is from nine months ago.

Does anyone know?

Are you talking about the French film from 2011? According to google translate, that is the French word for "untouchables".

Yes I know that, but I wanted to know why they called it that. Another poster just sent a link which explained it. Thanks.

Wow. Top Rated Movies #39. How did you like it?

EDIT: I had never even heard of it until a few minutes ago when you started the thread.

I liked it a lot, and rate it 8/10. I highly recommend it, but it is in French, so you'll have to read the subtitles, unless you speak French. I don't.

BTW, that's one of the cool things about a movie board, getting a heads up on good movies. I get them all the time.

I watch foreign movies all the time, including North Korean ones. I have no problem with subtitles, although I do need them. Like any true red-blooded American, I only speak English.

You and me both, Bro. Although I do speak a smattering of Spanish and German.

I can't answer your question, but I've seen this movie a couple of times and absolutely loved it!

Thanks. I kind of figured it out that he was untouchable, (intouchable in French), because he couldn't feel anything.
And the scene with the hooker stroking his ears was definitely weird. I still enjoyed it though. The movie that is.
