I highly recommend this excellent series. It's rated 9.2 on IMDB, and exposes the cruelty and hypocrisy of this terrible cult. It takes TAX EXEMPT money, and uses it to destroy families!
We need to press Congress to force the IRS to revoke their tax exempt status. BTW, the church
was granted this status only after a long and vicious church campaign against individuals in the IRS.
totally agree. they are the absolute worst, need to be cut down, their leader imprisoned, cult assets seized, the proceeds used to provide restitution to its victims, de-programming to its members, and replenish the treasury.
they somehow browbeat/blackmailed the clinton-era irs commisioner into granting them tax-exempt status in the 90s. always a curiously outrageous ruling.
I don't know. The police SAY they talked to her, and closed the case. But perhaps Scientology harassed and bullied them
into saying so. I tend to think she's being held prisoner somewhere in a Re-Education Center, and being harassed
and bullied. Sounds like the old Soviet Union and the KGB, doesn't it?
Yes it does. Also, LRH was a loser who couldn't get into the Navy so he invented his own, the Sea Org. It just's beyond my scope how people can follow these crazy lunatics who just pull these "religions" out of their a**.
he actually got shitcanned from the navy for being balmy. here's the scoop on that :
As with many other aspects of L. Ron Hubbard's life, accounts of his military career are much disputed.[1] His account of his military service later formed a major element of his public persona, as depicted by his Scientologist followers.[2] The Church of Scientology presents Hubbard as a "much-decorated war hero who commanded a corvette and during hostilities was crippled and wounded."[3] According to Scientology publications, he served as a "Commodore of Corvette squadrons" in "all five theaters of World War II" and was awarded "twenty-one medals and palms" for his service.[4] He was "severely wounded and was taken crippled and blinded" to a military hospital, where he "worked his way back to fitness, strength and full perception in less than two years, using only what he knew and could determine about Man and his relationship to the universe."[5]
However, his official Navy service records indicate that "his military performance was, at times, substandard", that he was only awarded a handful of campaign medals and that he was never injured or wounded in combat and was never awarded a Purple Heart.[6] Most of his military service was spent ashore in the continental United States on administrative or training duties. He briefly commanded two anti-submarine vessels, the USS YP-422 and USS PC-815, in coastal waters off Massachusetts, Oregon and California in 1942 and 1943 respectively. He was removed from command of both vessels and rated by his superiors as being unsuitable for independent duties and "lacking in the essential qualities of judgment, leadership and cooperation". Although Hubbard asserted that he had attacked and crippled or sunk two Japanese submarines off Oregon while in command of the USS PC-815, his claim was rejected by the commander of the Northwest Sea Frontier after a subsequent investigation. He was hospitalized for the last seven months of his active service, not with injuries but with an acute duodenal ulcer.

she's terrorized, screwed in the head, utterly under their control.
these people are comprehensively dehumanized by the systematic programming they are constantly subjected to. there is always a quorum to maintain the terror. in this respect, LRH was an evil genius.
the weird thing about scientology, the only one consistently having a good time is Miscavage. the #2 man on down is living in terror of being sent to an ant-infested trailer for years on end. there is not a single top level scientologist who has survived over any length of time - they eat them up.
Leah and Mike Rinder are atoning for some sins, Rinder especially. The wierd one is Marthy Rathbun, former enforcer, who despite leaving and being terrorized for years, never swore off the kool-aid, ran his own imitation racket, took a pay-off, and is back on the side of Miscavage, from the outside. His tale is the weirdest. double betrayal.
with his entire family still on the inside, still heaping abuse on him, as mandated. he had to leave them all behind to save himself. Rinder was brought in thru his parents, as well. On the ubermenschen side, fast-tracked to the top.
One of the top three guys, he still ended up getting smacked around by Rathbun & little napoleon, sent to rot in the aforementioned trailer.
yes, it is. they target the affluent, nicely-disposed, overly naive/gullible types and milk them.
these are, by and large, very good decent people who get caught up in this trap. i have a tremendous pity for them.
i've done quite a bit of investigation on them, even been inside a few of their 'orgs', met more than a few scientologists way back, when i lived in CA.
Not just the well-off, but the organization also aggressively recruits impressionable struggling actors, drug addicts and those struggling with mental illness to name but a few groups. Various Scientology subsidiaries adopt the guise of an acting workshop, drug treatment center, counseling clinics and further facades in order to attract unknowing participants and funnel them into the Sea Org and other recognized Scientology affiliations.
that's true too. scientology is hugely classist. they cultivate the wealthy for their assets, and the untermenschen for their slave labor. they work 10 year olds 16 hours a day. the kids who get swept in by their gullible parents go without education, medical/dental care, decent food/rest, parental care.
its a truly squalid beast. any president worth his/her salt would turn a wrathful eye upon them.
Most children who grow up in Scientology are born into it. For what it's worth the president has expressed interest in revoking their tax-exempt status, but like most of his activity in office, it has only amounted to talk.
Psychiatrists aggressively target impressionable struggling children and those struggling with mental illness. They drug them up with Ritalin. The mental houses were so abusive they actually got defunded by government after public outcry. Drug rehab is a revolving door racket. Psychoherapy is spying under the guise of mystical pseudoscientific mumbo jumbo. Hypnosis, recovered memories, and multiple personalities funnel unknowing participants in the criminal justice system and other recognized psychiatric affiliations.
Oh, and the DSM-5/Dianetics is just a work of fiction.
Sad that so many people are duped into joining this horrible cult. I'm hoping that Congress will force the IRS to eliminate their tax exempt status, and that the whole house of cards falls apart.
