It's a happy moment that all the kids and their coach were rescued and that everyone worked together to make it happen, but some people still find a way to spoil it....

Didn't he say we're living in The Matrix?

reply

Apparently it's a one in billions chance that we're not living in a computer simulation scenario.
Makes Icke seem almost sane.

The Matrix aka 'simulation theory' fills in a lot of holes about how this universe does what it does (ie, it works like a computer.)

It's an interesting theory and I don't see it as meaning that the world is fake, but the mechanics of the universe could behave like computer code, with someone coding here, having an effect there. It also has the idea that our consciousness can affect the universe due to this interplay. So with our thoughts we can change the world... a philosophy that has been around for thousands of years.

" fills in a lot of holes about how this universe does what it does"

Yeah well it would wouldnt it - then anything weird ,contradictory or things we dont understand could be explained as a bug in the code, like in the matrix. Its a catch all problem solver, a bit like saying "God did it , it is gods will , etc"

reply

This is not a material universe.

reply

so you're putting your money on the simulation?

reply

I don’t like the word simulation, but prefer to think of the fabric of the universe as being connected and able to change.

Seems he has apologised but it is half arsed and it appears to be less than a genuine apology and more of an exercise in damage limitation.

It was over Twitter and goes like this :
"As this well-written article suggests, my words were spoken in anger after Mr. Unsworth said several untruths & suggested I engage in a sexual act with the mini-sub, which had been built as an act of kindness & according to specifications from the dive team leader."
He continues :
"Nonetheless, his actions against me do not justify my actions against him, and for that I apologize to Mr. Unsworth and to the companies I represent as leader. The fault is mine and mine alone."

His kind of apology seems to have been prompted by this

Gene Munster, a top tech analyst and the managing partner at Loup Ventures, wrote an open letter to Musk urging him to rein in his outbursts and erratic behavior so he might "regain investor confidence"

"Your behavior is fueling an unhelpful perception of your leadership -— thin-skinned and short-tempered," Munster wrote in the letter posted "on behalf of investors who believe in you and your mission."

Munster went on to advise Musk to apologize, focus on achieving Tesla's mission, and "consider taking a Twitter sabbatical."

Musk is being sued

I was expecting a documentary film about the rescue mission, in hope of learning how people in crisis react to impromptu new technology solutions, but now I think we will only get a courtroom farce instead.

reply

I saw that, since I first made the thread Musk made further allegations including accusing the diver of being married to a 12 year old.
Damage is probably done to his reputation.

reply

Yes.
End of thread
