Who said that?

Dewey and I have been chatting and he's come up with an idea...so trawling back there's been some funny stuff on the board both past and present.Shall we remind ourselves and in doing so have some fun?I

So here's a quote:

"Today is National Flip Flop Day!
Free smoothies at Tropical Smoothie Cafes from 2-7 p.m.! "

But who said that?

To the fastest growing, most fun MC thread ever. Filled with lots of Dewey goodness!

It was fun, but my memory sucks so bad!

Dewey came up with this brilliant idea for a MC game, and it was a HUGE success. It grew so fast, most of us couldn't keep up with it!

You are SO right about not being able to keep up.

Nice that you found the Frank's version - I like it better than Bob Hope's.

😂 That was such a fun day. Crazy fun! I sure miss those days.

I like it better than Bob's version too, and suspect it would get the Dewey stamp of approval.

I've been reading through the many pages of this thread. It's a lot of fun, but really too bad that certain folks deleted all their posts. 😞

reply

Holy cow, there are 41 PAGES!

I need to go read back and relive it. Yeah, it's a shame some people deleted their posts. I was noticing that in some of the other threads today.

I think it was when we were playing this game I noticed Dewey had deleted a lot of his own old posts and replaced what he said with the pumpkin head emoji (figures he'd pick one like that 😂). So I asked him privately if he'd mind leaving the rest for those of us left behind. Made sure he knew it was totally up to him of course, and I'd respect whatever he felt best about doing. He said he'd started deleting when he'd first found out he was so ill, and deleted them out of being in a dark place at the time, and he wouldn't be doing any more deletions. I was happy to hear that he wasn't any longer in such a dark place and the rest of his posts would stay :)

I just went through this post. I really miss a lot of people even though I've always lurked more than chatted. I'm really glad that so many of these posts are still here and I'm glad you asked him to keep them. Thank you.

reply

I miss a lot of them too 😞

You're welcome, but I think he'd already decided he wouldn't go deleting any more of them. I'm happy we've still got all the ones we've got, especially from Dewey, and from others who aren't here anymore.
