That wasn't the case back in the aughts and it used to be not that hard to find good movies to watch. I use to love going to the movie theaters all the time back in the late 90's all throughout the early-to-mid 2000's...but now meh...

Damn few of them ... I cannot give you the name of any really good movies.
What has replaced really good movies in my opinion are just mediocre movies
that are watchable. Most movies are so bad that that mediocre seems like
genius these days.
The most recent good movie I've seen is It Follows from 2014.
