What films have you seen that you think no one else here has seen?

Name the most obscure, unknown, least seen movies that you have watched and see if anyone here has seen them. Here are the least watched films I have seen:

American Orpheus (1992)
Todo un caballero (1947)
Go in the Wilderness (2013)
All the Way to Paris (1966)
Sophie's Place (1986)
Fe (1994)
Ava & Gabriel: A Love Story (1990)
Leap 4 Your Life (2013)
The World and the Woman (1916)
Days of Gray (2013)

Have any of you guys seen any of those? And what are your least seen movies?

reply

zero for me.

reply

What's the most obscure film you have seen?

reply

Carnival of Souls - 1962

reply

I love Carnival of Souls! I have it on blu ray.

reply

I am impressed.

reply

[deleted]

It is a low budget classic.

reply

I Walked with a Zombie (1943)

reply

Seen it. Pretty good, a 7/10.

reply

Bedlam (1946)

reply

Haven't seen Bedlam.

reply

I finally found one. Not a bad Karloff film.

reply

Well, I know nobody here has ever seen Kuch Kuch Hota Hai or Om Shanti Om or any other Bollywood movie!

Since I'm Dutch, I guess it wouldn't be fair to name any Dutch movies.

AMC seems to show a lot of movies I've never heard of before. Has anyone here seen Modern Girls? What a crappy movie that was!

reply

I haven't seen any of the ones you mentioned.

reply

Well, there you go. This weekend they showed Night Game starring Roy Scheider. Ever saw that one?

reply

No, I haven't seen Night Game. Is it any good?

reply

No, not really. Very silly and cliché.

reply

Im sorry for the general lack of interest in Bollywood films
I know you are quite a fan of them

I love 'foreign' stuff but Indian movies never caught my fancy...
I have noticed that Netflix is offering a lot more of them now

Maybe some of us will check some out

reply

The newer ones suck, Shogie. I won't even give those a chance.

reply

They DO look crummy
But whenever i see a new one on NetFlix i think of you lol

Now i know...the newer ones are lousy
I will continue to avoid them...but i always look foward to meeting you😘

reply

If that's true, then why haven't you posted in my thread about songs that should be turned into movies!

reply

Im sorry lady
I didnt see that
I will get right over there!

reply

[deleted]

Oh trust me she quite likes the weird Indian films lol;)

reply

Don't be mean!😢

Yes, there is and it was a big hit in India, so there are millions who do know the movie!😝

reply

[deleted]

I've seen a dozen or two Bollywood movies. Neither of the ones you mentioned though.

reply

How is that possible, they're classics! Especially KKHH. Both star SRK!

reply

[deleted]

That's not a REAL Bollywood movie.

reply

[deleted]

Classics, you say? I'll be sure to look out for them. It's been a while since I've seen anything from India.

reply

Yeah, in some theaters KKHH still played for many years. But they're the typical song-and-dance type movies, so probably not to everyone's taste.

reply

Yeah, I'd just assume that. Of all the Indian movies I've seen, only a few weren't song and dance.

reply

Conquest (83)
Directed by by Lucio Fulci

I only know one guy that saw it and im pretty active in my local horror community...we have a few fun horror marathons a year at area theaters

This one is all but forgotten but quite a good gory horror fantasy film...
Italian...so you know its pretty good!

reply

Haven't seen Conquest, but it sounds pretty interesting.

reply

Its ridiculous and great...if that makes any sense

Gory, heartless, cheesy and violent
A good time in other words...

reply

Seen it :)

reply

Plan 9 from Outer Space (1959)

reply

Plan 9 is really entertaining, despite how poorly made it is. I rate it 8/10 for entertainment value.

reply

[deleted]

'I wish I had used my time better'
LOL!

We probably should feel this way...but damn, a proper terrible movie is a thing of beauty
The Godfather is on all the time...you have to seek out Plan 9!
I find both equally entertaining tbh

reply

Ive seen it twice
Such a great pile of garbage that i actually loved it

reply

[deleted]

you are also pretty obscure

reply

[deleted]

I have The Thief of Baghdad on blu ray, but I haven't seen any of the others you mentioned.

reply

[deleted]

When Worlds Collide (1951) - not a bad early low budget sci-fi

reply

[deleted]

You are the first person I have come across on here who has seen it.

reply

[deleted]

same here

reply

[deleted]

And in The Ice Storm (1997)

reply

[deleted]

Haven't seen it, but it sounds interesting.

reply

No
Its an Ang Lee movie about two dysfunctional families set in 1973.
Based on the excellent Rick Moody novel

reply

Read the book as a teen. How about, I Was a Teenage Werewolf during the same decade & starring Little Joe (Bonanza) Michael Landon ?

reply

I didn't realize Collide was based on a novel. I have seen Teenage Werewolf once before.

reply

I haven't seen I Was a Teenage Werewolf. Is it any good?

reply

It's been a long time since I saw it but from what I remember, if you're in the mood for a cheesy 50's horror flick, go for it.

reply

it is unintentionally funny.

Waste anything except time!

My mother is a big 50s B-film fan. I've seen tons of them growing up. I don't recall a lot about WWC but I know I've seen it at least a couple times.

reply

Beyond the Rocks from 1922, starring Rudolph Valentino and Gloria Swanson. One of the oldest movies I've seen.

reply

Haven't seen it, but I love silent films. I might have to check it out.

reply

It's a little sappy, but Valentino and Swanson are cute.

reply

Reflections of Evil (2002)
Jeanne Dielman, 23 quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles (1975)

reply

Haven't seen Reflections of Evil, but I have Jeanne Dielman on blu ray and it is one of my all time favourite films.

reply

Nice! It takes some patience but it's well worth it
