Movies only on vhs

Is there a list of movies only on VHS (or maybe we can make one). Not very obscure movies but ones that we all have seen and are kind of main stream. I am thinking about movies like RAD or Gleaming the Cube which if you are my age certainly have seen. It now can't find.

reply

Totally Rad. Seeing someone double peg a rail is reason enough to have a VCR.

"MaxiRad -- go over without making a scene."

reply

real talk!

reply

It's what separates the shredders from the squatters.

"MaxiRad -- stall and stand tall!"

reply

Nice post and sorry...i only know a lot of old horrors are now being given DVD releases
More mainstream stuff i cant really say
Gleaming and Rad were fun stuff btw!

You wouldn't believe the amount of amazing movies you can find on YouTube. And if not there then somewhere on the internet. Never give up!

reply

Youtube is a goldmine of fun oldies!
Thx Moose...pleased to see you as always!
And stop eating the towels

reply

I just had a deja - vu...

reply

All over again?

reply

With the towel thing,yes.

reply

Real talk!
Never enough towels...

reply

We have a guy here by the name of Titi towel,why?...because at every single match of one boxer,he bites from a towel.Lol

reply

I was going to say the same thing. There are so many older obscure movies on there. Tons of TV movies of the week sort of deal too, if you can sit through one of those. I'm sure would be good for nostalgia if someone used to watch those.

reply

Linklater's SubUrbia (1996)

It's a real tragedy.

reply

Never heard of it. Will check it out.

reply

Suburbia is available on Apple TV / itunes... check it out

tHANKS!

reply

no problem

VHS?? No offense, but does anyone still watch VHS?

😎

reply

Only movies that were never released on any other format. Although in many cases you can get bootleg DVDs, or so I heard. For example I heard of a movie that was only released in HD in Hong Kong but is appearently now available on region free DVD.

reply

Oh okay. You have a point there. Just like some music is only on vinyl or cassette tape.

The movie I can never find even on VHS or DVD is Mindwalk, starring the late John Heard. It is an all talk and walk movie taking place on Mont St. Michel and island abbey in France.

reply

I just found that movie...on a torrent site.

reply

It's on YouTube, but the resolution is only 480.
Maybe that is as good as it will ever get, but they need to do another print from the original. There are movies that must sell much fewer copies than this, so I don't understand why they do not have this in print. I really liked John Heard, Sam Waterston and Liv Ulman in this. John Heard was in another of my favorite movies, "Chilly Scenes Of Winter", which was really a amazing movie, also hard to find on DVD. Of course, Waterston was in Newsroom.

reply

Well...the version that i found was xvid,not mp4.

and they don't even make VCRs anymore...
