Movies you watch as unintentional comedies?

You know so bad it's good ;D

For me it's The Room and all the Twilight movies.

For me,is the resident evil franchise.

The Happening. What?... No!

Also, Neil Breen "films". Just reading some of the stuff on their websites is perplexingly hilarious. A quote from the "reviews" section on the Fateful Findings site:

“wonderful…..david lynch meets toms wiseau…. the audience loved it.”
audience: “had a blast…we all cheered… loved the genre… could not stop talking about it and liking it!”

reply

I came here to list The Happening as well. Amazingly funny badness.

reply

And it's also made by people who are supposed to know how you make at least a halfway decent film... It's just a perfect storm of ridiculousness.

reply

I second that,Mina.

What, you don't enjoy long shots of trees swaying in the breeze? It was just silly enough to deeply amuse me. But the title is just stupid. Would you call an event like that "a happening" /just asking as a "guest speaker"/?

Also, I just can't hate any film with Horace from Dr. Quinn in it!

For me, nothing tops being in the movie theater with my niece, and realizing the creators of "Angry Birds" had accidentally created a pro-terrorism kids movie. "Those evil pigs took our eggs? Let's hurl ourselves through the air, to blow up all their buildings!" I mean, I know that's the game, but once they changed them from simple animals to more human-like characters...something went wrong.

It's mentioned a lot, but Birdemic (and all other movies by James Nguyen) are the most unintentionally hilarious every made.

reply

What? The eggs are their children and the pigs are gonna eat them! If some random country invade your country and took all of your children to be cooked alive what would you do? Cry all night? Organize protest? Post it on social media? Smh.

reply

Absolutely The Room. One of my favourite movies of all time for that reason. The Twilight movies also make me laugh, but they make me throw up at the same time, so they're more difficult to watch. Another one is Birdemic, bad in a funny way, but also so bad, it gives me a headache. And Troll 2, such a weird movie! Someone explain the popcorn scene to me!

reply

That popcorn thing may just be an odd Italian seduction technique? God knows the whole film was an exercise in cultural miscommunication. And apparently it was also a critique on vegetarianism? Or something?

Birdemic was so bad, it was just sad.

reply

Okay, I'll stay away from popcorn next time I'm in Italy!

Yes, the director hated vegetarians. Although it seemed more like a warning against eating too much green Jell-O?

reply

It's a warning against all sorts of things! Jell-O, flies, listening to the native speakers in your crew...

There is a documentary about it that's quite interesting. It's called Best Worst Movie and it's directed by the little kid all grown up.

reply

I said this recently somewhere else, but I was once in a theater where people started laughing during The Untouchables.

Battlefield Earth

I wish someone remembered the hilarious edited for television version of The Breakfast Club they used to run on network television in the late 80s/early 90s. The movie itself was decent enough, but the TV edit is outright hilarious!
