Banned from IMDB2

Anyone else randomly banned? I had only made about 30 comments & mostly in the horror board... only dropped in every now and then because I know some posters from the old IMDB horror board.

Anyway I am banned. No idea who the admins or mods are & no idea if there has been any shit posting or drama? Surprised to be banned though without warning.

The only reason I can think of for being banned is saying Dario Argento's Suspiria isn't a Giallo film... not sure if that is a reasonable offence to be banned.

Well... yea. Like I said I have hardly commented on the site and don't know if there has been much drama so outside of the admin thinking Suspiria is a Giallo film I am at a loss to why I was banned.

It's run completely by IMDb trolls is why.

99% of the people there are from the Politics and Soapbox boards. Sadly that site has nothing to do with discussing movies.

imdbv2 you meant right? ;) Yeah maybe they are kicking off people who don't post much? Hard way to build a community. It just shocked me when i went to sign in and it said my account was banned.

That must be a mistake, I think they have a huge userbase over there. Not sure though, I don't really use it.

Last week I got a message saying I was banned from there. I used a different browser to read the board and tried to figure what was going on. Then I switched back to my normal browser and everything was back to normal. It must have been an error. Try it.

I got banned without warning over there as well. I didn't say or do anything either and didn't really post all that much. I think they did a "purge" or something like that. I couldn't resist but to look at the boards to try and see why. I find it very strange to ban people without warning.

I didn't have many posts over there either but it is still a little bit rude to just kick people off for no reason.

Regardless I'm glad to be here :)

Well you remember me from when this site very first started & if you remember right I was totally chilled out and helpful toward new members... my attitude only changed because I got trolled by mod2 & didn't get a simple apology.

I plan on just sticking to film talk moving forward but every time I log in Trump is always on the front page LOL! I think that triggers me into asshole mode & troll SJW mode :D

And this is why I tell people that we need to categorize. We have a HUGE majority who is stubborn to let this happen and with Jim being noexistent, it is not even being looked at.

Filtering politics crap away from the main page into its proper section is a good idea... some of the people I have argued with I don't think they even want to argue or give a shit, its like we have just argued for the sake of it because the situation is right there in front of us.

I don't even live in the USA and don't give a shit about Trump lol! I am just arguing half the time because something has pissed me off.

Its kinda funny as well because conversations on the actual film boards are usually polite and interesting but then it is back to war :D

I began randomly sending unsolicited links to my own personal website through PMs. I was planning to give John The Admin a link to my own personal website, but John edited my link permanently before I could give him a hand picked invite(The website was less than 24 hours old and I was still selecting people to hand invite. I told people to keep the website link on the down low but someone went and told John about it, and he wondered why he wasn't invited. n hindsight, John should have been the FIRST person to be invited.) I found a new way to circumvent the edited link and I gave John the FIRST invite the second time around. I ended up also giving an unsolicited link to a poster I didn't even KNOW and vice versa. The poster called me out on the very public Soapbox about this stupid thing I did, saying,"Why did you send me an unsolicited link in a PM? I do not know you and I have reported your PM to the Admin." I responded,"Okay, I really shouldn't have sent an unsolicited link to a poster who didn't know me, " but it was too late as I was banned about 30 minutes later from the whole IMDB2.
