Had a different name on imdb. Purple dream was my user name there. I didn't do a lot of chatting on there, just read a lot on the boards.

shareIt's a combo of liking the lyrics, my grandmother having lots of kaleidoscopes that I would look through, and people being intrigued with the fact that my eyes change colors. My eyes start off a plain green. They can change to the colors that I am wearing and my mood. I could never play hookie because my mom knew my eyes turn a dark blue gray when I am truly sick. They turn almost fluorescent green when I am upset. I always wished I was a brown eyed redhead though. I always thought they were the prettiest. Although, there was one girl I knew that had really bright red hair with those pretty Caribbean blue-green eyes. Ugh, envied her.

I chose the name from a nice time in my life when I quit working for a few years and traveled around the world -- so I was a 'professional tourist' for a while.

shareFour continents? As an american I believe there are seven continents. Europeans believe there are five continents -- they count North and South America as one, and they do not count Antarctica. I don't know where the people believe in only four continents, but answering as an american:
1. North America -- yes
2. South America -- yes
3. Europe -- yes
4. Asia -- no
5. Africa -- yes
6. Australia -- yes
7. Antarctica -- no
My favorite was South America, particularly Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego.
Technically, there are only four continents and I think being American, like I myself also, I think we are very ignorant to the rest of the world. South America and North America should be one. Eurafrasia should be one. Antarctica should be one. Australia should be one.
My opinion, the North Pole should be one. LOL!!

While we're on the topic, I like a healthy mix of classic rock, some blues, some jazz, and country....and some occasional big band or traditional pop songs too...like Michael Buble's older stuff.
I'm into classic rock mostly, country I really like too but mostly older country, older pop, some blues as well and some bluegrass. Not really into jazz or big band so much, although there's some light jazz I've liked...Chuck Mangione type jazz for instance. Alternative...the ambient music I also like...and Celtic. Probably other types too but that covers a lot.
Seems like everything I like is older...lol. The rock, country, and pop I like most spans from 60's to 80's. Some 90's is ok. When we hit 2000 I said..."WTF am I listening to!" LoL!

As for today's "country" music, it's so synthesized and popped up that I no longer recognize the genre anymore. Although I do have certain exceptions like George Strait, Shania Twain (her older stuff), Loretta Lynn, Tim McGraw (mostly his older stuff, but some of his newer stuff is tolerable) Faith Hill (definitely her older stuff), Martina McBride, Josh Turner, Kacey Musgraves, Kenny Rogers (no longer touring but still making music), Lonestar, Mo Pitney (fairly new, but good so far), Ray Scott (more of a writer, but still a decent artist), Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, Trace Adkins, Travis Tritt, Tracy Lawrence, Tracy Byrd (select few songs), Trisha Yearwood, Brad Paisley (definitely his older material), Randy Travis, Jamey Johnson, John Michael Montgomery, Hank Williams, Jr. Johnny Cash ("The Man in Black") and dare I say Garth Brooks who recently came out of retirement...and those are just a few good examples. ;)
I also have a few albums from REO Speedwagon (have all their greatest hits), Foreigner (greatest hits), Journey (greatest hits), one treasured live album from Carly Simon (1988's "Greatest Hits Live") and one great album from Night Ranger too ("Midnight Madness" is worth checking out if you haven't already).
I have been to a few concerts as well...but not in a little while. The last concert I went to was for Lonestar at one of my local parks out of all places during the summer...and it was a free event too. All I had to do was to pay for parking. They still sounded pretty good and I got to briefly meet the founder of the band too, Dean Sams. He plays either guitar or keyboard. Would've preferred to meet the lead singer, Richie McDonald, but it was still nice to have the opportunity to at least meet one of them....which is a moment that I'll probably never forget anytime soon.
Yeah, that's what I don't like is all that synthesized and auto-tune crap...that's not real music, that's cheating!
Oooo...love nearly everyone you listed...a few I'm not familiar with...the new one's. Love REO, Carly and the other's in that paragraph too! OMG Vince Gill, I could listen to his beautiful gospel voice forever! Oh...I like gospel music too...the older stuff. My parents made me go to church when I was little and just took to the music. I'll have to check out that Night Ranger album cause I like some of their music too.
I've been to some pretty good concerts. Elvis was the first one back in 75...he was awesome! Sick (poor guy) but awesome! Ok...let me think...my memory is trying to fail me...ok...I've seen Elton John, Billy Joel, Deep Purple, Rod Stewart, Bruce Springsteen and The Rolling Stones...my fave! I love Mick! ❤ It seems like I'm missing a few...well, maybe I'll think of them later if I can.
