Have you visited IMDB since the final day?

On Thursday just before bed I unconsciously typed IMDB when I wanted to read about a movie, but I caught myself and closed the window right away. I really want to avoid ever going there again. Have any of you gone back?

I did the exact same thing yesterday. I wanted to check the credits of actress Alison Wright from THE AMERICANS (it turns out she was born in England) (and she is great in it, BTW) and chose imdb out of habit. But then I shut it when I realized, and went to Wikipedia : )

I still visit although not nearly as much.

From force of habit, I went there a few times after they killed the boards. But I haven't gone there since. There are things I want to look up, but I hate to give them the satisfaction. I've been trying to find the info I need elsewhere.

It's a combination of hurt and anger. But ranting won't do any good. All I can do to voice my feelings is give them no voice at all.

Almost did it last night from google out of habit. Nope, not happening again.

reply

I did take it off my FAVORITES bar, at least.

A few minutes ago: I’m not planning on avoiding it forever but it does feel weird getting used to no message boards on there.

There's a way to bring them back, man (sort of)!

reply

Just a few times, to check Trivia, release date, and ratings briefly.

reply

nah, I don't even care about the ratings anymore, and im pretty sure they will do away with them soon too

I still go there to rate movies and to take polls. I'm close to 1000 polls and I want to see if I get a new badge for that :D

F#%K IMDb!!

Oh crud, I went there today to see the exact date that "Cleopatra" (1963) was released on. I could've Wiki'd that just as easily. :(

reply

Nope and I'm not going to EVER again. I am googling "Need to Know" answers to my questions.
