3D is here to stay due mostly to one man. Jim Cameron. The future of 3D is also in his hands owing to the fact that Cameron has stated that he is going to take 3D to the next level for his next film. Apparently Avatar 2, or whatever is next, is going to be shot at 48 frames per second and the digital effects will be bumped from 2K to 4K digital. The screen tests are supposed to be stunning.

48 frames per sec? What was Avatar? And what is the difference between 48 and what Avatar was.

Also what is 2K & 4K digital?
