So, Ive been trying to decide between some 3-d blu rays (in case i upgrade) and some 2-d ones. but then i realized that you need special equitment for blu ray 3d. I've been hearing many different things about them, some people say they will play on older blu ray players and some say they wont. Does anybody actually know?
As far as I know 3D blu-rays won't play in regular blu-ray players unless you have a Playstation 3 of course. Most 3D blu-ray come with a regular Blu-ray though so that might not be a problem. Studios are doing this to encourage people to upgrade.
The combo is usually. 3D blu-ray + Blu-ray + Digital Download

Some Blu-ray 3Ds do play on regular Blu-ray players (with a 2D picture, of course). I don't believe they all necessarily do.
