Pushing Daisies

Are there any fans of Pushing Daisies on here? It was a very quirky show, very reminiscent of Big Fish in regards to its aesthetic. Personally, I find that it was a travesty that this show was canceled. In the scheme of the things, it's not hard to see why it was canceled, it was probably too weird or off beat for most viewers, so they gave it a pass.

I own the second season on DVD and I was a little underwhelmed how it ended. If it wasn't for the internet, I wouldn't have known this show existed (I watched all of Season One online). So what do you think of Pushing Daisies?

I own both seasons on Bluray and it's absolutely breathtaking! The show took a familiar concept (whodunnit murders) and made it something totally fresh - it was funny, sweet, surprising, and captivating. I still hope for a movie one day :)

It would be nice if they were to do a movie, sort of a continuation of the series!

I love the show. While the ending was rushed and clumsy and sub-par, I am content in the fact that it was outside the control of the people who made the show what it was.

I miss all the characters dearly and fully intend to rewatch it all in the near future.

Now if you'll excuse me, I fancy some pie!

What kind of pie do you fancy?

While an obvious choice, the strawberry always looked amazing! Never did a show make me crave dessert so much!

I don't recall seeing a chocolate pie on the show, but I love me some chocolate pie!

I love Pushing Daisies! I own both seasons on DVD, and I miss the show dearly. But like you said, it never was destined to be a hit. It was just too off-beat for the mainstream.

That's why I loved it - there was nothing else like it on TV.
