Country music needs to become country/western again

I'm sick of todays trucker hat and skoal version of country music, where all they ever talk about is being a redneck and growing up in the sticks. It sucks. We need to get the west back into country music. The songs about cowboys, cattle drives, duels between sheriffs and bandits etc.

I'd like to see more like this...

And less like this, this sucks.

We need more songs like GUITARS And CADILLACS; CRAZY; FADED LOVE; WABASH CANNON BALL; CITY LIGHTS, and the ultimate Honky Tonk song, PICK ME UP ON YOUR WAY DOWN

Some good ol' Blue Grass songs like RANK STRANGER and LOVE, PLEASE COME HOME shor wouldn't hurt either...

Or some of that old Western Swing- Bob Wills style.

..Don't matter who's in Austin, Bob Wills is still the King!

p.s. Anyone remember the name of the bar next to the OPRY (in Printers Alley)?.
I believe it had a woman's name; ol' Ernest Tubb could be seen there on Opry nights.

I believe the name of the bar in which your asking about was Tootsie's Orchard Lounge and the lady kept people in check with her hat pin.I think it was Charley Pride that said that in his book or could have been Ralph Emery. Many singers and songwriters frequented the place over the years.Hope this helps.

PS heres the link and Charley Pride gave her the pin its in the legacy section of their website.http://www.tootsies.net/main_subpage.php?pg=theLegacy
