Killing off a main characters?

I just watched Law & Order UK Season 6 Ep 1,
and once again I am in awe of the BBC's running theme of killing off one of the main characters.

Now I should be used to this, being a 9 season fan of "Spooks",
but Jaimie Barber's character, Matt Delvin's death completely surprised me.

What are your favorite crime dramas that killed off a main character?

When Boardwalk Empire killed off Michael Pitt at the end of this past season, I was pretty damn shocked! Yet he was one of the very few fictional characters on the show, so it was allowed to happen. But man did it surprise me. But I appreciate a show that can do something that bold. It's one of my favorite shows.

Law and Order UK isn't a BBC show.

If you think things were bad in season 9 of Spooks, just wait till season 10!!

Keep watching the sky, MacIntyre.

On Hawaii Five-O, Chin Ho Kelly (Kam Fong) was killed in the tenth season finale, in 1978.

The Untouchables killed off Frank Nitti in the final episode of its first season. They brought him back from the dead in the following season though.

Gee, nobody saw the last ep of GAME OF THRONES?

Great remark! That's what I'm talking about!

Yea it is...Of Course L&O UK is a BBC show. That's exactly where I watch it every week.

reply

It depends which country you watch it in! In the UK it's shown on ITV the main commercial channel, but I'm assuming by your answer that it's shown on BBC America where you are.
