Black/White With Red Filter

Finally ordered a red filter for my lens online.
Shot some years ago with my old Pentax and liked them.
Got my contact sheets back last week, took four shots with
the filter, just to see how it looked, and they came out nice.
Cypress trees on a lake with clouds in the background.
Red brings out the clouds.
Went out in my boat again this week, shot a couple of rolls,
and used the filter a little more. Low light early morning conditions
in a boat make it more difficult, can't use the tripod if there is wind
or chop. Sent out the film today and I will definitely continue to use
the filter.

Great, can we see the pics?

I am way behind the digital revolution.
Still only shoot film and have never even scanned any of my older stuff.
A photographer friend told me about Flickr, something I need to do.
I don't even have prints of my newest black/white, just contact sheets,
back when I had access to a darkroom I could print everything myself.
I did order prints for the film I dropped off yesterday, and also have
two rolls of color to pick up this morning.

I'm working on it, hopefully sooner than later.

Found a scanner and opened a Flickr account.
Ten old B/W up now, shot in same lake location.
Printed myself 5x7, have been hanging on my wall.

Newer stuff will be coming up shortly.
Color shot Monday has been scanned and waiting.
Should have more up over the next few days, takes a while with dial-up.

Color is up.
17 shots.
Taken on Monday.

Picks from two rolls of color shot early Monday morning,
also shot one roll of black/white in between the color rolls.

All right.
Finally got some black/white shot with a Red filter up.
Machine prints, not great.

First prints I had made by these people in B/W, had been getting contact
sheets. Decent enough for a test batch, some of them would look considerably
different printed by hand.

I like using the Red filter.
Bought Green and Yellow on sale this morning.

These B/W shots are the ones mentioned in the original post.
Color series titled "LV" shot Monday afternoon after a storm.
Should have used a polarizer, didn't have one of those either until today.

Billy these are lovely. So simple and a lovely contrast throughout. Sort of remind me of Michael Kenna. Where did you take these?
