If Lincoln had lived, what would he have done about Native Americans?

The Civil War ends but what would Lincoln do about the westward expansion and the inevitable conflict between homesteaders and the indigenous peoples?

I would imagine about the same thing that actually happened. Lincoln was a great president, but despite popular opinion, not really a big supporter of cultural or racial freedoms. He did free the slaves, but only because of political reasons. There are many quotes from him that show that he really didn't care if they were freed or not. I'd say that he would have the same opinion about Native American culture as well.

The government policy was and would remain, even under the 'supposed' enlightened thinking of Abraham Lincoln- to contain and separate the native tribes from all useful and arable land and then corral them into reservations where they could be reeducated and managed/governed the most efficiently.

What else can you imagine Lincoln doing? Taking land from a large portion of voting citizens and then redistributing it back to the Native American Peoples?

Impeachable offense for sure.

Poor bastards. They were screwed no matter what?

Pretty much. The whole "winning of the west" was a simple land grab.

Settlers to Indians: "I want your land. Get off or I'll kill you."

Every time I watch the movie "How The West Was Won," I think, "or lost" depending on your point of view.
