Any reality show is only good for ONE season

Reality shows were fresh, original, and interesting at first. But, just because it is (supposedly) unscripted and the cast are not SAG members doesn't make it 'real'. Once the audience has seen the first season, the next season's cast, who watched it with the rest of us, know about what to expect. Thus, less surprises for them, and us. Been there, done that.

These shows are all now full of people trying to break into showbiz, especially the dating ones. On American Idol, people will go on to audition, knowing they suck, just to be on TV. You cannot possibly believe these people think they are good singers. At least Scream Queens was actually predicated on getting a movie role. (And that show was pretty cringe-worthy).

The Apprentice was very good the first season, but after that each episode was an hour long commercial. Survivor also had a good first season. Only one castaway had a clue about forming 'alliances'. Now it's old hat. Road Rules season 1 was fun. Average Joe and Joe Millionaire were fun and entertaining social experiments, but you cannot repeat them with any effectiveness. They tried doing repeats of both of those, with awful results.
