Thought on this propulsion system. If it works according to some speculations,
our "world" just got a lot bigger.

claiming that a rocket could not work in space. Which they "corrected" July 17, 1969.
Nonsensical comparison. Goddard wasn't proposing something that violated elementary laws of physics. On the contrary, his critics -- including the anonymous author of the NY Times article -- didn't understand elementary physics.
It's BS.
