It seems nonsensical to me as chaos or disorder or what whatever you want to call it are entirely subjective and abstract concepts. Are subjective terms just incorrectly used to describe something that is objective? As it is somethings the case? Maybe I am just missing something

When we describe details of the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics we might use statistics to express the mechanisms. Unless you have a computer to work out the mathematics you might well think a verbal or written description is subjective.
In simpler systems (eg a vehicle engine) one can express and demonstrate the heat transfer more directly.
