Subtitles disappear - YouTube download to DVD

When I view a foreign movie on YouTube, English subtitles are present, but when I download the film to a DVD using DVD VideoSoft Free Studio. the English subtitles disappear. This has happened more than once. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Try Google2SRT:
http://google2srt.sourceforge.net/en/
I found that by searching for youtube subtitle capture.

Thanks. I have downloaded it but I was wondering if you could give me a brief overview of how to use it. I entered the URL and chose English, then pressed GO. It said the file was saved to the file "output_3.srt"

Is there anything I need to do other than re-download and convert the URL from YouTube to DVD?

I don't know; I've never done exactly that. Before burning, you'll probably need to give the .srt file the same name as the video file. As in, change it from output_3.srt to illegalmovie.srt or whatever it's called. Then, try playing the video on a computer or media player and make sure the subtitles sync up, and stay in sync. If they're out of sync, there's programs that let you edit and tweak subtitle files.

Thanks very much. I'll try that.
