making a 3d tv feel like a two-story tall theater screen

All you would have to do to make a small screen close up look like a huge screen from far away is trick your eyes into thinking they are focusing way off in the distance in stead of five feet in front of you.

Your eye doctor can prescribe you glasses that would do that.

or go to the back of the room and watch the TV through a binoculars.
