I'm considering getting a new tv. I heard horror stories in the past about Samsung tv's "not playing nice" with Sony peripherals. Like the Sony PS whatever won't work on a Samsung display or a Sony Bluray player won't play either. Is there any truth to this tale or is it just fanboy banter?

I've never heard that and I follow a lot of threads on the AVS Forum. I have Samsung TV and a Sony Blu-ray. No issues.
