Joseph Gordon-Levitt backs out of Sandman Movie

Joseph Gordon-Levitt has backed out of the planned Sandman movie, three years after he helped to get a film version of Neil Gaiman's classic comic greenlit. Sandman appeared to be a passion project for Gordon-Levitt, who first confirmed he'd be producing an adaptation in 2013, and was long rumored to be taking a starring role. That's too bad. Sandman would be great in live action but I think a miniseries or a tv show will be better.

What's missing in movies is same as in society: a good sense of work ethic and living up to ideals.

I'm getting sick of miniseries and tv shows.

We have what we seek, it is there all the time, and if we give it time, it will make itself known.
