Am I ALONE?When It Comes 2MOST Film Genres Are Disappointing,&Disappear

First off,I will say that I am an avid reader,&also that I'm a fan of many film Genres,especially Sci-Fi(along w/it's sub-genres Fantasy,Apocolyptic,Dystopian,Future,etc),Horror,Mystery,Thriller,some Drama,etc.You get the point.But I've found it's few,&far between when they have really good ones come out that I'll hear about(being it is I don't have cable to see commercials,etc.),&watch,when it comes to any of my favorites I like genre-wise.I know everyone has different opinions of course of what they think is good/decent, or bad flops.I've come across a Lot of "B-Minus"phrased movies,that I watch anyways,that I'll say agreeably are flops,but watch because they've a decent story&idea.Sadly to me it feels like there's so many"B-"films out there,that outnumber Blockbuster hits that are good movies,&wonder if I'm alone on this thought??,along w/other topic points I'm writing of also.There's a lot of B- films that don't or do have a decent "backing",whether its a decent budget, directors, actors, producers, film sites&settings, even writers, etc. But IMHO(in my humble opinion),have a good storyline/idea,so I do keep watching(same thing also w/the many books I've read by various authors,w/a decent storyline/idea).Same thing for when it comes to some films w/big budget"Blockbuster"films w/well known actors,etc.,that have the build-up advertising,publicity,theater&the also DVD releases.Even w/some re-makes that just don't come out done as good compared to the originals.Altogether,I find that if both Blockbusters,&the many "B-"films done,given maybe the right circumstances along w/maybe also done in the right hands,had potential to be Better movies to actually enjoy watching,rather that be yet another "Movie Flop"!!Don't get me wrong though,I've also seen quit a few unheard of B- film titles,that are actually well done&are good,w/some great acting done by Actors I've never heard of,entertaining,&enjoyed!
Although,as I'd also mentioned that I don't have cable,&also keep in mind of everyone's opinions different,as I've found a lot of both good and bad movies through IMDb's site to get movie ideas to watch.I like to read what the IMDB has as the movie summary,I'll maybe watch the trailer if there is 1.But I kind of go on ratings,&other user reviews posted.BUT,I've also found it frustrating at the same time that I'll see a movie listed &even a very recent dated review or reviews written within days.Yet I CAN'T EVEN FIND so many movies(Even NEWER Ones)!!I know I'm not alone on that point,I would think!It'd be great if the IMDb website could maybe at least list places its available through to watch(aside from just the site itself,&/or Amazon),or simply saying"Not Currently Avail.",&updating whenever a film listed is(mysteriously)avail.
Hence is also why I have my Watchlist I have is to keep track of various well-known or the not so much movies,as some in my list are because I can't seem to find them anywhere to watch...
