stop the new garland biopic from happening!!! read + tell me if u agree

okay i love judy garland, i think she was the most talented woman in hollywood and the greatest female vocalist to ever live, but when i heard that a biopic on garland's life was coming to the big screen, which i was happy to hear, until i heard the details of the film.
1. the film is going to be based of the book "get happy",a biography about garland, which apparently is mostly about her scandals,addictions,troubles,and even a lot of lies that make garland look bad. this i found extremely disrespectful to garland. all her children say that garland was the best mother she could be and they all loved and adored her. also there already was a biopic about garland's life that was made in 2003. the film was based off of lorna luft's book, my life with judy garland: me and my shadows and even though it wasn't a big screen film, it still was a great film and depicted her life perfectly and showed that through everything she never saw herself as a tragedy.
2. anne hathaway is going to portray her and i think anne is a good actress and has proved she can tackle serious roles, but garland? it's not just her, i can't see anyone portray her. judy davis portrayed her in life with judy garland and that was one of the most brilliant performances i have ever seen in a biopic.

i totally am against this movie being made and think if there is going to be a movie bout her lets make sure the material is acurate

on the bright side liza minnelli has pleaded with the producers of this film to not make it

Well I do agree with you! I am glad to hear there is going to be a big screen film on Garland's life, even though I find it to be unnecessary, I am still exited to see it. I do agree that Get Happy, is probably one of the less decent book out of all of the Judy Garland books out there. I also agree that there is no matching the wonderful film that is Me and My Shadows. I do agree that Anne shouldn't play Judy. I think she is a bit too young, but whatever. I can see her as Judy, but it is unnecessary that this film be made now. As I hear it, Anne will do all the singing for the film, which I am totally against! No one can sing like Judy!

And to correct your last line, Liza isn't pleading for this film not to be made, she only told the producers that she didn't want this film to focus on her mom's drug use, but more on her talent.

ya anne has a very good voice but garland's is like no one elses, she was probably the greatest female vocalist of all time and still is

hey, if there was a biopic on the making of the movie the wizard of oz, who would you cast as judy? ray bolger? jack haley? bert lahr? victor fleming? mervyn leroy? etc.

I thought LIFE WITH JUDY GARLND: ME AND MY SHADOWS was just brilliantly done and I would love it to be the definitive biopic on Judy...we don't need another one.
