It's so sad....

It's just awful to be invited to an evening with an old bore who's certain he's the life of the party, and you're apparently the only one who can tell he's a bore. I swear, the rest think he's brilliant and dashing, and he's like every old movie cliché you've ever seen -- tired, worn out, dry, and even a little shabby.

So here I sit, with my Coq au Vin and my Reine de Saba, in my cute little black dress with no one to talk to....just watching the fizz go out of my champagne.
