Is Cold Brew Coffee overrated?

In my opinion, yes, it's very overrated. For one thing, it takes a lot more coffee to make up a cup or pot, and the process is fussy. I still prefer a simple pour-over method.
"But look, the morn, in russet mantle clad, Walks o'er the dew of yon high eastward hill"
I would never bother trying to make my own - as Athene pointed out, the process is fussy and it takes a lot more beans to make it that way as opposed to the pour-over method using boiling water.
OTOH, you can buy ready-made bottles of cold-brewed coffee in the grocery stores now, and I have to admit, the ones I've tried are very good, and, I've found they are a convenient alternative to brewing a hot cup of coffee in the morning.
Don't mess with me, man! I know karate, judo, ju-jitsu... and several other Japanese words.
