1 out of 250 people feel "transgender" ?
Transgender Population Size in the United States: a Meta-Regression of Population-Based Probability Samples

Why is this a topic of conversation?
Who cares and why?
I totally get the issue about a full-grown or mature male transforming to a female and then participating in women's sports.
Most people do inherently get that and think it is unfair and should not be allowed. It's the same issue as when they banned female athletes from certain countries who were given hormones to bulk up like men. No one thought that was threat to the political order of the world.
Jorden Peterson put "What Is A Woman" on Twitter today to watch for free.
Many parts of it reminded me of those spots on late night TV shows where the host goes out into the streets and asks the dregs of camera mugging "average Americans" questions that most normal people would know - from which we get the impression that more Americans know there are 3 Stooges than know there are 3 branches of government. Really?
They find the most absurd people to interview and use them as the norm, the Straw "Men", to ridicule and attack, to make their point to the ignorant audience they need to cultivate to disrupt the political system with silly distractions like this movie, and these ideas.
It reminds me of a conversation Jon Stewart had on his show about this issue where speaking to a Texas legislator who passed an anti-transgender bill, asking how many people it would affect. The answer was zero. Zero! Not even one.
Most serious Americans know that the way to fix things is to attack the biggest problems that affect the most people first and work your way down. That is basic project management.
Why is it that the political Right seems to always want to focus, fear-monger and make a big deal over things that really do not affect most Americans?
Why does the political Right not want to participate in solving the really serious problems that affect the most Americans first and focus our national efforts on those issues? It seems like the political Right deliberately work to NOT solve America's problems, and it's been going on for so long that now in graph after graph of the nations of the world America appears at or near the bottom in every metric of citizen well-being.
How long can this Right-wing BS-ing of America continue? What is it based on? How is it sustained, and how many people has it hurt or killed? If I had to guess I'd say many millions.
Are we really a nation divided equally that 50% of Americans are dead-set against solving problems that are killing or making their neighbors miserable or is that just a BS view of the world projected by a media taken over by the same autocrats that own everything else?
