Question for WarrenPeace and other gun banners
A hypothetical situation based on actual life experience. In 2011, my wife and I were engaged to be married. We bought a new house in May and were to be married in June. We started the process of moving in but wouldn't be living there until after the honeymoon. In the process of moving, I had to have a temporary office setup in the new house. I had been spending the night there and moving stuff during the day. Two weeks before our wedding, I decided to go back to my old home and come back the next day. During the night, three worthless assholes broke in through a window with a hammer and took everything that fit through that window. Here comes the hypothetical.....
In my world, we have the right to keep and bear arms and had I been home, I would've confronted the three assholes with a 12ga shotgun and probably persuaded them to take their party elsewhere without shots having been fired. Worst case, someone might've been shot.
In your world, we would not have the right to keep and bear arms and in the middle of the night, I would've woken to the sound of three assholes destroying a window with a claw hammer. What happens when I confront them in this situation? I'm groggy from waking out of a dead sleep (heavy sleeper), while these three shitheads are high on adrenaline, wide awake and at the very least, armed with a claw hammer. There's three of them, one of me. Worst case, these three cretins get the better of me and I'm left either dead or permanently injured from hammer blows to the head.
How do you justify your claims that we're better off with no guns at all?
