Starting on Jan 1, 2022, we're required by the IRS to collect your full 9-digit Social Security number (SSN)

Thanks Dementia Joe for more taxes. I am sure this money will be spent wisely. Cough *Ukraine* cough.

Starting on Jan 1, 2022, we're required by the IRS to collect your full 9-digit Social Security number (SSN) or Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN) in order to issue a Form 1099-K to everyone who sells $600 or more.

Guess they found work for the 87,000 new IRS agents and it will not be going after the rich. What a surprise.

Unreported income has always been an issue

An ebay storefont can be very profitable ebay isn't just for garage sales, you also have value added items someone else does work on an item and sells the results

People running their own businesses are rich enough to pay their full income,

reply

So you are saying all people running their own businesses are rich? Tell that to those who are working 7 days a week, possibly 90 hours a week to keep their businesses running. They also are pouring every dime they make back into the business. Eventually (after 2 + years) they might be able to afford to hire 1 or 2 employees. During the pandemic who do think kept the businesses open in order to hire back their employees? Many of those “rich” business owners went under…never to open again.

reply

Yes, running a business is a lot of work and very costly, as well as being risky

But you are not living paycheck to paycheck and you can most certainly afford to pay your income taxes

reply

I didn’t say not to pay your FICA. We have to grin and bear it. My issue was with the terminology you used.

” People running their own businesses are rich enough to pay their full income…”

Thousands of small business owners ARE “living paycheck to paycheck”, especially during the unnecessary Covid shutdown! Small business owners doesn’t necessarily equate to being “rich”.

reply

So your problem is that you do not want to admit how rich you are compared to everyone else

Oh woe is me, my small business collapsed but i still have enough assets that i can sell off to survive for over a year,

If you are in negative income keeping the small buisness alive over your well being is a personal choice, most small business owners are smarter than that

reply

No, not “rich” by any means. I’m just not one who is afflicted with wealth envy. I’m retired, but nothing in my life kept me from becoming “rich” if I had chose a different path in life.

You’re really hung up on this “rich” thing aren’t you?

reply

You're AROUND the top 1.5% on the global rich list
Assuming 50k income

reply

Nada! No “50k income”. To use your reasoning, everyone in the U.S. is “rich” (there’s your favorite word again). This includes those who are in poverty and dependent on the taxpayers subsidies. Even those who make less than $15,000.00 yearly are better off than 3rd world countries.

”What are the current poverty thresholds?

Some 2021 poverty thresholds were:

$13,788 for a single individual under age 65

$16,400 a household of two people with a householder 65 years or older with no children

$27,479 for a family of four with two children under age 18”

Those above are “rich” compared to 3rd world countries.

reply

Yes, people living in the United statescan survive on much lower sincome than people ouside of america, due to our capitalist economy which puhes the prices of nessisary goods down,

You are still rich, just not the richest person in the United states

reply

You need to learn the definition of “Rich” so you will cease harping about it. It would behoove you to take a course in etymology.

“RICH”

ADJECTIVE
having a great deal of money or assets; wealthy:

SIMILAR:
wealthy
affluent
moneyed
cash rich
well off
well-to-do

By no means do I fall into any of the above. You do realize you sound more Communistic with every reply. 🤷🏼‍♀️

reply

Old news? Way past Jan 2022 already. Almost 2023.

reply

Don't go after the departments that lose a couple trillion dollars a year and have no means of tracking where it went. Instead try to triple tax items people resell. The inflation tax is of coarse the second tax.

reply

Hopefully that fucking "cough" of yours will develop into something more dire.
Then you can hope all that insurance you've been happily paying for kicks in.

Oh wait ! You're Russian ! I have no idea how your system works. Maybe they'll put you in a penal colony and you'll work off the rest of your life and you'll thank your Russian overlords for the privilege.

Or even more likely, you've buddied up with the people in power, having been such a dedicated operative, you can assume they'll take you in and pet you like a dog until they shoot you through the head because you are a drag on the system.

And you will appreciate how well they stuck with the paradigm. Being used like pawns in an autocratic game is exactly what you admire. Until you start shooting up innocents and throwing bombs in public places. That's more your wheelhouse.

reply

Got the boot huh??

reply

Sorry. I just get so fed up with the wanton lies and abuse that goes on here.
I've been worn down from trying to be a thoughtful and rational master debater (haha), then just to start throwing bombs at all the ugliness that is allowed here.
Fun for some people this is fun - But Not For Me.

They're writing songs of love But Not For Me
A lucky star's above but not for me
With love to lead the way I've had more clouds of gray
Than any Russian play could guarantee

I was a fool to fall and get that way
High-Ho, alas, and also lack-a-day
Although I can't dismiss the memory of her kiss
I guess she's not for me

reply

FACT: The IRS has had my SSN for over 40 years. Prove me wrong.

reply
