That is a start, but it does not follow the making and picking up of the slogan, which is just so stupid, and has created a lot of opportunities for backlash.
Someone needs to get out in front of Democratic/Progressive messaging, it is absolutely terrible. People talk about it all the time how ineffective it is, but it is a real danger right now especially.
People gag on the slogan "Defund the police" and use it as an excuse to support Republican politicians and policies, but the facts are that maybe one or two cities are actually cutting the police budget, and no one is really for defending the police or actually defunding the police ...
Except, Donald Trump in pulling Federal money from Sanctuary Cities was threatening police departments with insufficient funds -- AND every Republican voted against Joe Biden's aid to Cities and States, a lot of which was for Police Services.
Republicans are the party that want to defund the police, but they don't want you to know about what they are really doing, and Republicans won't defend the police or let them do their jobs when it comes to defending the Capitol or Jan. 6th.
Republicans showed utter contempt for the Capitol police, against awarding them medals and recognition for their valiant service against Trump's Republican DC marauders.
That's why these slogans, this messaging is so important. If Democrats don't get it exactly right then Republicans twist the meaning of everything with lies, and often even when they do get it right Conservative media ignores it or lies about it.
This sums up the Democrats.
They come up with these insane ideas that go against every angle of common sense.
But they are some how allowed to defund the police, pass laws like no cash bail

I am quite enjoying the defund/abolish police though. The re-imaging looks great. Rise in crime, early release for hard offenders, mutli-felon rap sheets, removal of death penalty, the whole shebang. It looks fabulous. I do hope the citizens there enjoy it. Got to be inclusive after all. :)
