For an honor roll student (Ma'Khia Bryant), this kid sure ain't that bright. You'd think someone that smart would know calling the cops and bringing a knife out to stab someone would end badly.

Now protests are out for saving a black girls life. When will cops learn to stop policing black/brown areas? Too much hassle and trouble to go along with it. Just protect the white neighborhoods then everyone will be happy. Heck, even LeBron made a subtle threat on twitter before deleting it with the words: You're next

reply

Oh you silly little wabbit, but then white liberals and the (particularly urban) blacks they treat like uneducated children will complain police abandoned them.

This will NEVER get better until:

1. Republicans stop defending all cops at all costs. Chauvin being a CLEAR example of one of the bad ones. His actions were unjustified and completely inexcusable - and he's not the only one. There ARE bad cops out there.

2. Liberals stop pretending most cops are bad. Every time a cop shoots, hell every time a cop puts his hands on someone at this point, they are screaming and crying "pOlICe bRutAliTy!" They are anti-cop, plain and simple. The bad ones should be held accountable, but it's such a minority and these dopes are livid over it; all while conveniently ignoring LONG RUNNING problems in black neighborhoods cause by BLACK PEOPLE.

It's not that hard to be objective.

reply

Agreed, but they won't recognize hypocrisy until they realize what happens when there are no cops around. You forget that they want to abolish (although Biden administration is only wanting reform but you know how good the progressives are at trying to sway Biden if not Kamala).

I don't recall Republicans defending ALL cops at ALL costs. They want due process to go through instead of everyone just jumping to immediate conclusions until the facts have been fulling investigated.

I also know there are some bias where in many cases in the past and some still in the current where cops get off scot free without accountability.

reply

"I don't recall Republicans defending ALL cops at ALL costs. They want due process to go through instead of everyone just jumping to immediate conclusions until the facts have been fulling investigated."

Dude.... You know as well as I do these things fall along party lines every single time. This board alone people can't admit Chauvin was guilty.

reply

I haven’t seen anyone on this board say Chauvin was NOT guilty. I for one wrote he is guilty of Involuntary Manslaughter akin to someone driving recklessly and killing another. Chauvin did not intend or premeditate murder.

The jury’s verdict: ” Unintentional 2nd degree murder (while committing a felony)”- Guilty

What felony?

Instead the following would be apropos:

Second Degree Murder

Unlike first-degree murder, second-degree murder occurs when there is no premeditated plan associated with the act of killing. This criminal category occurs in those cases where someone dies as a result of recklessness.

If an individual beat another and the latter eventually dies, the aggressor’s action may be considered involuntary manslaughter. The second degree only applies if it is shown that there was no intention to kill. It needs to be proved that death is the result of an accident.

The jury’s verdict:” 3rd degree murder (perpetrating an imminently dangerous act) - Guilty

Alleges Chauvin caused Floyd's death by "perpetrating an act eminently dangerous to others and evincing a depraved mind, without regard for human life."

What depraved mind? Good grief you could be in a fist fight with someone. You are aware your fists can cause bodily harm, but you give the guy one last & meaningful slug...he falls, hits his head on concrete and dies. Were you evincing a depraved mind?

The jury’s verdict: ”2nd degree manslaughter (culpable negligence creating an unreasonable risk) - Guilty

”Alleges Chauvin caused Floyd's death by "culpable negligence whereby the person creates an unreasonable risk, and consciously takes chances of causing death or great bodily harm."

Did Chauvin consciously take a chance of causing Floyd’s death? I don’t see it here. Yes, he caused the death of Floyd, but was he aware? This goes back to involuntary manslaughter. The circumstances are no different than tasing a perpetrator.

Open your eyes a user named RandallGraves does not think Chauvin is guilty. Remember when the right loses an election it is voter fraud, and when there is police brutality caught on film it is a secret ploy by the left. Floyd not being a good person does not excuse what Chauvin did. Call out corruption where you see it whether it be right or left. I denounced rioting and looting I made no excuses for that occurring. The right however has attempted to sweep the capitol riot under the rug. The left lies but so does the right.

reply

Well, all we heard for 4 years was...hang on...hang on...sorry I’ll think of it in a sec...I can just about mouth the words...oh, yeah...

“RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA“

reply

Where did I say that? Care to have a discussion or do you want to project what others have said onto me? I have confronted you on the basis on what you have said not others. I would appreciate if you would do the same. Not once have I ever mentioned Russia. What were you words again that you always pivot to?

Deny, Dismiss, Deflect, and/or Dumbfound. Pot meet kettle.

reply

You literally just took what I said and pushed it on to kspkap so you're a liar

reply

I disagreed with your statement:

”The right however has attempted to sweep the capitol riot under the rug.”

But, my reply was aimed at the alt-left collective.

reply

Why reply to me with an aim at the collective? If you want to aim at the collective start a thread doing that. The fact that you replied with that shows you are doing the very thing you hate the left for doing. Deny, Dismiss, Deflect, and/or Dumbfound. Lots on the left have tried to excuse rioting, looting and wrongdoings, but lots on the right have done the same thing for the capitol riot. You claiming to have not seen people saying Chauvin was innocent of any crime I honestly could not believe. Just like how if I were to say well I do not believe anyone has attempted to justify the wrongdoings of looting and rioting by blm would you believe me? I sincerely doubt it.

reply

Hey jackass what I said in all those threads was Floyd overdosed which he did, that if he didn't swallow enough drugs to kill a horse and complied with what the officer said he'd be alive. Do you think all those drugs he swallowed didn't contribute at all to his death?

reply

You also claimed the officer committed no crime. Which shows you will defend a cop even if they are in the wrong.

reply

No it shows in this instance with a career criminal like Floyd, who held a pregnant woman at gunpoint and swallowed enough drugs to kill a horse that I believe the cop was doing what he was trained to do.

And I stand by that. Your hero Floyd was a piece of shit. At least Chauvin helped him get the longest sober he's ever been

reply

"I haven’t seen anyone on this board say Chauvin was NOT guilty."

It takes some balls to say that. I openly criticize and make my displeasure with the left well-known on this board but the Trumpsters are unreal. They lie about lying.

reply

Yeah exactly. I openly criticize any side that is in the wrong. Whoever said that is flat out lying.

reply

kspkap. She's a liar.

I don't care about political parties, I care about the truth. Not many like us.

reply

Same here. I do not shill for anybody.

reply

I just now saw this due to nit picker einsteinfountain going through the archives. I am NOT a liar! I replied to you later to the fact I had missed the posts you were referencing. Here is part of my reply:

”OK, smart ass! I missed seeing those. I don’t live, sleep & eat this board like so many of you do! The knee was on the neck! It’s as plain as it can be from different angles. And you STOP IT with the “Trumpublican suspects”! You people never cease putting that dig into the discussion which is getting rather obnoxious and tiresome. Being a Trump voter has nothing to do with this case, you nitwit!

I voted for Trump, but common sense tells me Chauvin is responsible for Floyd’s death. Be it 2nd Degree without malice of forethought or involuntary manslaughter. Each state has different degrees of each charge.”

reply

I'm talking about you claiming no one on this board was pulling for Chauvin. Not saying you were, but to deny it's happening is simply incorrect.

reply

I honestly did not see what you were referencing. I couldn’t believe someone would say Chauvin was “not guilty” of at least involuntary manslaughter. It’s as plain as the nose on your face. I don’t read every thread. I usually read the thread when someone replies to me. I’ll skim through the OP titles and if they are of interest to me I open them.

10 days later I see where you called me a liar. I don’t lie and if I’m in the wrong I have admitted so. What does a person gain by lying? The trouble with lying is you have to remember the prior lies. Telling the truth is easier...it doesn’t change. This is why I do my best not to post links to far right articles. I attempt to locate the true facts.

Yesterday, I posted a link to a you tube video where a guy was explaining if the government confiscated every dollar from every billionaire, the amount would not be enough to run the country. A poster dismissed it because it was an old video put together by the Tea Party. In essence it wasn’t true. I located other reliable sources showing it is true. The dollars confiscated would run the country for about 9 months!

reply

"I honestly did not see what you were referencing."

You haven't seen a single person on the internet defend Chauvin? And you wonder why I called you a liar?

reply

No! I at the time did not! Now you are saying the internet. Where would I have seen such a statement on the internet? Did you not read my reply? Did it fly over your head? I will repeat: Until it was pointed out and at the time I wrote “I had not seen anyone defend Chauvin.” I was being truthful because I don’t live on MovieChat or other media sites like you do! I don’t do Facebook, Twitter, etc.

I haven’t watched the news since Biden took office. Stop calling me a liar! I’ve explained to you over and over I was not aware there were people who thought Chauvin was Not Guilty of something. I’ve also wrote he should have been dismissed from the police force due to prior complaints.

reply

You are a complete and total liar.

reply

Why are you saying this to me? What have I written to lead you to that conclusion? Why are you targeting me with that label? I’ve explained in detail to the fact I was not aware of others saying Chauvin was not guilty at the time I wrote that sentence. Why do you persist to say otherwise?

I don’t understand you, but if you want to play that game...that is your choice. My conscience is clear.

BTW, You are a complete and total liar for calling me one.

reply

Also, you won’t find me commenting in your first 3 links. I told you, but for some reason refuse to believe me, I had not seen that info until you posted the links.

reply

So what's your opinion on the actual topic of the thread?

reply

"I haven’t seen anyone on this board say Chauvin was NOT guilty."

Like HELL you haven't. Chauvin was a "sacrifice to the mob" and other similar nonsense. I forget who it was, but there's at least 1 guy here who still insists he didn't kneel on his neck, but his shoulder. Intothenight, elcamino, Randall, all the usual Trumpublican suspects. Haven't seen, LOL! STOP. IT.

I voted for Trump, but common sense tells me Chauvin is responsible for Floyd’s death. Be it 2nd Degree without malice of forethought or involuntary manslaughter. Each state has different degrees of each charge.

But, what you lemmings fail to understand is this case is going to be appealed to the point Chauvin is going to end up walking. The judge erred in not granting a change in venue. I believe I’ve reasoned why. To stop the madness from starting. He wanted the locals to have their day in court. He wanted jurors from the area knowing full well they dare not find Chauvin not guilty or guilty on a lesser charge which would permit Time Served. Chauvin did not receive a fair trial. How could he when the jurors were starting to be harassed! Even if Chauvin was innocent as a new born baby they had to find him guilty.

I recall when OJ was on trial reporters were asking people standing in line to be admitted into the court room, how would they vote if proved OJ committed the horrendous murder of two people. Their answer: “He’s OJ! He’s a good guy. He’s a brother so I would vote Not Guilty!” This is their mindset! All Blacks are good! All Whites especially cops are bad and racist! And you people buy into this crap! This is why we are having the Burning, the Looting & the Murdering in our cities. No one is held to account unless you happen to be White and part of the mob who stormed the Capitol...as they should be.

reply

Fuck George Floyd

reply

Cool story. He was still murdered.

reply

And you care cause you support illegals and criminals.

reply

I'm actually extremely against illegal immigration, so there's that. Then the fact you don't seem to know what an immigrant vs. a refugee is. You are waaaay more dumb than I initially realized.

Oh, and that criminal was still murdered.

reply

You're right I should have said rapefugees cause you totally support them. You seem to think its impossible that terrorist scumbags would hide in the mix and that all of those people just need a helping hand

Have you moved any in with you yet? Put up or shut up but hide your daughter and hide your wife

reply

I was gonna say that - just like with cops - you shouldn't judge an entire population by the extreme minority, but then again you think Chauvin is a hero, so that analogy probably wouldn't resonate with your scumbag brain.

reply

[deleted]

Yes, Randall. I replied directly to his post.

reply

Erm, from what I see here on MC, it was a disagreement for count 1 and count 2 maybe being questionable but definitely everyone agreed on count 3. There is still an appeals process that can be later on as well.

reply

He also said he's tired of black people being killed by whites so following his logic, if the cop had done nothing and let the black girls kill each other, that'd be okay.

reply

Blacks kill more whites than whites kill blacks. No outcry there. I guess the more population count, the less give a shit.

reply

I hope everyone in America sees the footage of the incident and realizes that the cause of blacks being shot by police is NOT indicative of systemic racism among police, but due to endemic lack of self control in the black community. I mean, look at the video! The cop is 5 feet away and those people are still kicking girls in the head and trying to slash their throats, oblivious to any consequence, just 100% intent on causing pain and/or death!

What POSSIBLE benefit to society could ever come out of reducing law enforcement presence among such an impulsively violent demographic?

reply

Good post.

The cause is twofold.

#1, as you state: lack of self control in the black community.

#2: Total lack of respect for authority, (starts with teachers and school administration, ends with police).

This lack of respect is compounded when the authority figure is white.

reply

Updated with new video in OP.

reply

This is a tough situation. May one shot would have been enough to stop her?

reply

Hmm, I was thinking he should've used a tazer. Do all cops not carry a tazer in this department? The officer himself was not threatened but he had to save a potential life.

My point is there needs to be 'special' affirmative action treatment given to black/brown folk when dealing with them since they'll burn, loot, murder if they don't agree with your decision making. If it's black on black crime, stick with a tazer. If the cop is being threatened, tazer or a shot in the leg and don't shoot them when they got their back turned or knee them for 9 minutes. That or just don't respond to these calls since they're too fucked up with the rules where they probably want the cop either shot/stabbed first before they feel lenient enough that the cop should defend him/herself or just sacrifice their life for the black oppressed cause.

reply

He rolled up and it went off right as he got out the door so I'm not surprised he chose the gun over the taser.

Your second paragraph about special affirmative action would go against what BLM is fighting for which is equality.

reply

Except they're not fighting for equality.

I find it hard to justify the equality part unless they mean equality on brutality (joking). You only have to look at the FBI stats to see the disparity. I just can't wrap my head around on the part of just because you have a lower population count doesn't mean you're getting treated more badly when time after time if you see CCTV cams it's about the same if not more that you see black suspects being caught in the act.
