Former GOP Senator arrested, faces felony charges for electoral fraud

https://www.miamiherald.com/news/politics-government/state-politics/article250015359.html

The alleged campaign chicanery involved early morning Facebook messages, incriminating text messages and, at the heart of it all, tens of thousands of dollars in documented payments in exchange for a ringer candidate to get his name on the ballot.

Frank Artiles, a Republican political operative, is at the center of the drama. He is facing felony charges on suspicion of offering Alexis “Alex” Rodriguez $50,000 to run as an independent in Miami-Dade’s Senate District 37 race. The goal, investigators say, was to “confuse voters and influence the outcome” of the race to represent Senate District 37, a large swath that includes downtown Miami, Coral Gables and Pinecrest.

Gotta get that Jeffrey Epstein constituency to vote down there in Florida. ;-)

Florida is proof that dead people CAN vote. At least once.

Tsk tsk. They're already out on bond though. Heh, they even have nice houses, wonder how much backdoor money is moving around.

I guess the topic of electoral fraud is not as popular as it used to be.

Explained better with narration and pictures, damn, seems more prevalent than realized. Last minute ghost candidates with similar names to confuse the voters and siphon votes. Not illegal to do that but is illegal if there is campaign donations.
