Canada suing because of Keystone closing

But it is always better for us to buy oil from the middle-east instead.

reply

What is the reasoning behind this democratic decision?

reply

biden said he would transition away from oil during the debates, not sure why he is anti oil all of sudden. unless he is doing for some other nefarious reasons.

billions of dollars has already been spent building it, stopping it now is just plain stupid.

reply

He wants to go to net zero emissions aka Earth utopia. Thing is these people don't realize these types of materials are more damaging to humans and environment if they're on fire and harder to clean up due to the types of fuel cells being used. We're dealing with lithium ion batteries and such after all vs normal gasoline. I wonder how people will survive if they need to rely solely on electricity. By that I mean either the sun or a recharge station. I doubt they have battery tanks to keep around (maybe they should) when you run out of energy, especially outdoor traveling in the wilderness or desert and whatnot. If there is ever a apocalypse type setting in the near future, gasoline will be the thing to go since it's reliable.

reply

Even if you want to transition away from oil, you should still want back up resources as a safety precaution.

This is the beginning of many idiotic decisions.

reply

exactly, i wonder what his reasoning is?

reply

Well most work done in the middle east is by china. So with Crusty giving more money to middle east now for oil. They can now pay china more for things. Big win for democrats with then china giving pac money to democrats. It called money laundering.

The Canadian tar sands is a global natural disaster so many people don't want to support the destruction of the Canadian forest. I also don't think we want to pump that dirty sludge from Canada across the US. If the pipeline ruptures, that bitumen sludge will end up polluting the US. They are mining bitumen in Canada and then turning it into oil in the US. It looks like the Canadian tar sands operation is even more devastating for the environment than the fracking operations in the US.

How much pollution is caused with increase pumping in the middle east and tanker traffic across ocean to make up for the Canada oil.

reply

Do you have any idea how many pipelines exist in the USA? 100s of them. This is just one that's been politicized because....reasons?

racist Canadian trash in a nutshell. If you speak broken English, your treated very courteously like a newborn; however, if you speak with nuance as a born and bred Canadian minority it becomes "wrong" somehow

reply

He put over 100,000 people out of work, of course they are suing.

reply

Didn't realize we were in Canada.

Doesn't Canada get to keep all that glorious oil now?

reply
