Alt-right extremists move to the Telegram app used by ISIS

Right-wing extremists are using channels on the encrypted communication app Telegram to call for violence against government officials on Jan. 20, the day President-elect Joe Biden is inaugurated, with some extremists sharing knowledge of how to make, conceal and use homemade guns and bombs.

The messages are being posted in Telegram chatrooms where white supremacist content has been freely shared for months, but chatter on the channels has increased since extremists have been forced off other platforms in the wake of the siege of the U.S. Capitol last week by pro-Trump rioters.

Telegram is a Dubai-based messaging service that does little moderation of its content and has a sizable international user base, particularly in eastern Europe and the Middle East.

In the days since the Capitol attack, for example, an Army field manual and exhortations to "shoot politicians" and "encourage armed struggle" have been posted in a Telegram channel that uses "fascist" in its name.

Chris Sampson, chief of research at the Terror Asymmetrics Project on Strategy, Tactics and Radical Ideologies, a defense research institute, said his group is focused on and concerned about users of the channel and has alerted the FBI about it. (The institute is run by Malcolm Nance, an NBC News terrorism analyst.)

“When they start calling for assassinations, when they start calling for action versus sharing information, we flag them a little higher," Sampson said. "Some channels merely swap information, but then they accelerated into conversations of where to be.”

How much you want to bet that whatever ISIS is it traces back to CIA, or other Intelligence Network technology, and is now being adjusted for the US by ..... who? Who is the question, and if the Intelligence agencies were actually working and doing anything productive, they would know and understand this. The solution to this kind of PSYOP is almost always to make whatever is happening public, transparent, revealed, because that provides immunity for a person's brain to filter it, and realize it is coming in and make it conscious and think about it. It is like commercials. Most commercials we recognize the BS right away from having long experience with BS.

"Something" has been attacking the middle class and democracy around the world, but mostly focused in the US since Reagan and Thatcher, and one can bet that what started it then were financial interests. To call it the "Deep State" is tempting, but it is not the state, but it does operate through the state, using our citizen connection to the government against us, but it is not the state itself. If the public could find out who is the enemy, and it decided to, it could just look into the backgrounds of all political officers/candidates and refuse to vote for them. Then it would force this "Decoy Deep State" out into the open because it would be using violence and terror, like ISIS. I don't think Americans would stand for that for 5 minutes. It is only because we do not actually know who our enemy is that we are able to be distracted.

One thing is for sure, not all super-rich people are deep-staters, but all real policy making officers of the Deep State or billionaires and control huge amounts off money. That is something everyone ought to think about.

Right-wing extremists are moving all around from app to app to try to keep US intelligence off their scent. US intelligence agencies are saying right-wing extremists are way better at it than ISIS.

I am sure this is true, but look at this Capitol Hill storming ... a lot of current and ex military and law enforcement were in on that plan. It is most likely no different inside the intelligence community, they have their secret sub-groups or current and ex people banding together for their own purposes, or selling their expertise to outside groups.

I think the bigger issue with the capitol riot is the lack of security that the current law enforcement did not have control of. The inside job went much deeper. People in high positions specifically made it so the cops there could not do their jobs. Ayanna Pressley's panic button being removed, and Boebert tweeting Pelosi's location are very suspicious as well.

It's better for extremists to be in the shadows instead of on mainstream platforms where they become normalized and grow.

I'll guarantee that extremist groups on Telegram and other platforms will be infiltrated and monitored by law enforcement and other government agencies especially under Biden's administration.

You people get more and more insane every fucking day.

WOW just fucking wow.
