QUESTION: Is Donald Trump the first President in history .......

Is he the first POTUS in history to run for a second term, INCREASE the number of popular votes from his first run, but still "lose" ??
I used this site to check into it:

Not easy to confirm as the first several elections show only electoral college votes since many states just had the state legislatures assign the electoral college delegates. But, once the popular votes are presented, if you look only at Presidents who won a second term I could not find a single one who increased their popular votes over their first election but still lost.
Obama got fewer votes his second run but still managed to win.
Am I seeing this correctly? Is that no another HUGE anomaly in this election? It appears that has NEVER happened in the history of the United States.

The mail-in initiative during a pandemic increased the votes of both candidates.

One candidate told his voters to not trust the system, except in Florida, losing all the other battleground states, losing the election, then told his voters it was rigged, then lost over 60 court cases, but still repeated that it was rigged by the other side, until his side rioted at the capitol, causing the candidate to shut up and accept the results.

The other candidate told his voters to vote by mail and won.

This fact will just be a footnote.

Trump's historical legacy was written 1/6/21.

I suspect he is the first President to have lost after increasing his popular vote totals but the popular vote is irrelevant. While the popular vote is good for bragging rights, the winner is determined by the total electoral college votes. The winner-take-all approach of the U.S. electoral college usually means that six to eight swing states determine the overall winner.

Twenty-one Presidents have won second terms while only six Presidents have failed to win a second term. It looks like most of the Presidents who lost endured an economic downturn or lost votes to a third-party candidate.

Well as the demographics change in the US you will see a bunch of things that don't make sense to you.If the middle east and Africa politics make sense then you shouldn't worry anymore about the US.

The only think that will change is the Communist run Democrat party audacity to rig the system to favor themselves. Rigging elections. Stacking courts. Corrupting the FBI. Adding states to increase their number of senators.

We’ve already watched them do it in California for 2 decades.

Democrat leaderships only concern is acquisition of power. Look at every city they’ve run for the last 25, 50, 100 years. Complete shitholes.

Communists being communist.

Yep. And Biden was the first person in history to lose a record number of counties. And only gain in the 5 biggest cities of the 5 key swing states. Because it was the most “secure fair election in history.”
