Anyone else worried the extremely large number of troops deployed in D.C.

mean that they could be spread dangerously thin nationwide?

In reference to the RWNJ's next 'protest' this weekend? Assuming the police and proper authorities in state capitols across the country actually do their job, it may not matter.

I guess this is the moment of truth then. Either they have a lot of underground support in the military and the police or they don't. Anti-government groups by themselves can be dealt with the resources available to the police. My concern is less that a significant number of these will openly revolt, but they might refuse to act as aggressively as they might normally do as a sort of silent protest. Much like how some police units stopped responding or responding more slowly as a protest against Defund the Police and BLM. Police departments across the country are putting out some pretty strong statements reminding their officers not to participate in any protests, so that's a good sign. This was preceded by the statement for the military put out by the Joint Chiefs of Staff. These are intended as a friendly "reminder" to their troops and offices as well as a reassurance to the public.
