i think trump is bad, and hope he loses.
but...and please, don't tell anyone i feel this way, keep this just between you and me...i don't think his presidency has been a complete disaster.
if you put aside trump the man - the lack of any kind of rigor of thought, the lying, all the obviously terrible things about him - i think i'd judge his presidency as ... ok. a mixed bag, but they're all mixed bags. all presidencies are a mish mash of the good and the bad & the horrible.
on some things he's been good to great - school choice, israel, deregulation, no new foreign wars. & those are important things to me. if you ran in my riding on those issues, i would vote for you.
but on some things - big things like trade - i believe he's horribly, horribly wrong. but on those things, sanders & warren and all those people are just as bad!
he's terrible.
i want him gone.
because he's who he is, someone who doesn't think critically, who lies.
but he's had his accomplishments, and i think some of them are really good and important.
i think he's on the wrong side of really important things.
i'm not sure what's coming from biden in terms of policy will really be any better.
not that i would ever say such a thing in public...so keep this on the down low, as the kids like to say.

Peace in the middle east is pointless.
Not starting any new wars is completely pointless.
Making other NATO nations pay for NATO is pointless.
Getting out of Iran Nuclear deal and funding terrorism directly is absolutely pointless.
Banishing racist critical race theory is pointless.
Standing up to China is pointless.
However, Orange Man Bad, that is a big deal!

i don't think those things are pointless.
i applaud some of those things.
i don't want new wars.
i think the way 'smart' people subdivide us by race and gender & preferences to decide who deserves sympathy & who deserves hatred is a cancer on our world.
if you could package some of those things up in a politician who wasn't such a transparent con man, who wasn't so untrustworthy, i would probably support that person.
if the u.s. was voting for ... let's say... president ben sasse today, i would want him to win.
and even though i think he will be worse in real, quantifiable ways, i hope biden wins.
because trump is indeed bad.
you can't discount the complete lack of seriousness of the guy, that he can't be counted on to think critically or keep his word - basically incapable of acting ethically. at his core, he is a con-man, i absolutely believe. & i think it's terrible & dangerous to have someone so deeply flawed in that position. & i think it's bad for america & bad for the world.

You do know that Biden wants to re-enter the Iran Nuclear deal, right? You do know that Biden wants to waste additional taxpayer dollars and let other countries lecture us by re-entering the Paris accords while China continues to pollute the world, right?
You do know that the Crimea was taken over by Russia during the Obama/Biden admin, right? You do know that ISIS was formed due to Obama pulling out the troops, right? You do know that Biden is going to raise taxes and raise the cost of living for everybody, right?
You do know that Biden is a corrupt politician, right?
Now tell me what specifically is bad about Trump. BE SPECIFIC.

are you really asking me to itemize the things that are bad about trump at this stage of the game?
i'll be arsed if i'll do such a thing.
i think i've made my point as well as i can.
i think biden might well be worse for america & the world in lots of really important, critical ways. not that i'm the final authority on such matters.
but i think it's very important that trump be removed, because he's shown repeatedly that he doesn't have the character someone in his position should have.
i'm not going to list out all the things he's said & done & the people who've worked with him who've criticized him. those things are all out there, & you've heard most or all of them, no doubt.
i'm not here to fight with you, mate. & if you just keep on calling me ignorant, then i'll just put you on ignore.
