Biden has been debating all his life, so alot of it is muscle memory.

The BIG danger is a serious 'senior moment' on the debate stage.

He could survive a minor one

If he has a major one however....lights out.

I am sure Dems know of this danger, and will pump him full of caffeine...or slip some coke in his coke.

There is hope for Trump fans on this. It happened to President Ford, and also the governor of Texas and many others on the debate stage.

If Biden comes off like a confused Reagan in the late 1980's, it could be a tight race.

Is it possible though that in our new broken world the debates may not be the deciding factor? Even if Biden slips up here and there, it would have to a catastrophic gaffe to make the population suffer a collective amnesia about Trump’s performance, particularly in the past 6 months. What is it now, about 70% of Americans disapprove of his response to the pandemic? That suggests Biden needs only to stay calm and measured in response to any of Trump’s inevitable antics for him to be the likely winner.

Yeah he should be ok even with a small Senior moment.

A big one though, like a blank stare or answering on a completely different topic, not remembering a question and fumbling ..its over.

Senility is a real concern about Biden for us in the States moderates will be watching.

Guess they will be in for a surprise. All Trump can do is to dish out insults. Listen to the nonsense he has just made up his whole life. Biden may not be the best speaker in the world or photogenic ... as if Trump is with that "pelt" on his head and his orange spray paint around the center of his face, but Biden knows the real history and the issues so much better than Trump.

One every issue Trump has bungled everything. All he does is blame other people or conspiracy theories like the Democrats want to ruin the economy so he looks bad. That is so stupid. First, look at what happens every time a Republican takes office ... huge tax cuts leading to even larger debt, and deficits. It is Republicans who want to ruin the economy so their buddies with all the stored up money can buy up more and more of the economy when it has gotten wrecks ... and there is precedent for this, in the Great Depression the big money interests started to buy up half the farmland east of the Mississippi.

I think Biden will do fine in the debates, but even if he didn't he would do much better at putting the country back together and being President.

Go back and look at the previous debates ... all Trump did was name-call. If you call that winning a debate. Rasmussen is a right-wing organization that biases their polls in favor of Republicans.
