75 shot, 14 fatally, over Fourth of July weekend in Chicago so far

Too bad Florida isn't dealing with just "one more" case of COVID from yesterday, or 14 deaths from COVID over the holiday weekend. *sigh*

Trump and DeSantis has decided to kill off many more than that.

Trump has blood on his hands for over 132,000 deaths...and counting.

No where near as many as Cuomo & DeBlasio! Compare those stats!

Trump has blood on his hands for over 132,000 deaths...and counting.

Oh, he does not! No matter how many times you wish it were so! The next far fetched notion from you will be...Trump brought it to the states. Your statement confirms you are definitely mental. You really need help.

Here's your list of deaths by state. Florida and Texas may be 3-4th in number of cases but the deaths tell a way different story where they come in 9th and 15th. As long as they keep below 5,000 deaths I would say that's good compared to the rest. I surmise it's mostly the young getting sick and recovering/recovered as you see in Florida's case while Texas still have some numbers to go.

Unlike New York and other northeastern states where it hit first, Florida had months to implicate a plan to keep it low. Instead, Trump and DeSantis decided to ignore medical advice by opening and not wearing masks nor social distancing.

Now , the rate is low in New York, New Jersey and other states that have followed common sense medical advice, but extremely high in "liberated" states like Florida, Texas and Georgia.

The buck stops with Trump who still refuses to do anything unlike leaders in Canada, the EU, Australia, and Asia where the virus is low.

You're a spinning moron.

That’s not even counting premature deaths caused by lockdowns (suicide; stress; substance abuse; missed health screenings/treatments; crime and poverty increases; etc.), which at this point will probably be greater than virus deaths. New York in particular combined inept virus handling (e.g. initially encouraging mass street celebrations and later leftist riots for political reasons; killing thousands of seniors by stupidly ordering nursing homes to accept covid infected people) with overly stringent, arbitrary, tyrannical, and excessively prolonged lockdowns, crushing its residents with the worst of both worlds.

Yet despite the above facts of course you would slather the atrocious Cuomo with praise and have us emulate his catastrophic example, rather than states like Florida that smartly focused efforts on protecting seniors instead of locking up everyone regardless of health risk, thus keeping their economy stronger.

That’s because you worship death and authoritarianism, while despising freedom and America. The choice this fall is a stark contrast indeed.

First of all, it's not a competition! New York and Florida are part of the same country. You appear to forget or don't care.

Second of all, my criticism is about people needlessly dying because the president prefers to play golf instead of create a NATIONAL PLAN like other leaders to lower the rate and save lives. THE BUCK STOPS WITH HIM!

Third of all, you don't understand the purpose of data, therefore I’ll explain it to you. The data allows government officials know if their plan works.

New York - highest new daily cases was on April 14 with 11,571. On July 5, it's 518.

Florida - New daily cases was 609 (not the highest) on April 14. On July 5, its 10,059. Florida's lack of planning is NOT working!

Their death rate has remained flat since April with no improvement. New York's death rate dropped.

You need to stop politicizing a health crisis.

reply

LOL! You're the one dishonestly comparing states and countries in a bid to politicize the Chinese Virus. I correct you with a dose of factual reality and now you're backpedaling on "politicizing" it, saying it's "not a competition!" That's rich. Especially since you still push a halfassed effort to cling to your debunked attack.

You're a lying moron.

There's no comparison between the catastrophic New York experience, whose leaders were not only incompetent but evil and proved they really don't care about human life (I posted a thread showing Cuomo literally laughing about a sick man dying; though in fairness it wasn't one of the several thousand elderly people he killed with his bonehead order forcing nursing homes to accept patients) and Florida or Texas's experience, as I just showed.

Your cherry-picked contortions can't hide the facts I posted above. Heck, people have been 9 times more likely to die from the virus in New York than in Florida, and 18(!) times more likely to die from the virus in New York than in Texas.

Unlike New York and New Jersey, states like Florida did smart, science-based planning, focusing efforts on protecting vulnerable people instead of killing their entire economies.

You give ZERO THOUGHT to the casualties of New York's prolonged lock down, which will dwarf such casualties in freer states like Florida that didn't hit the "self destruct" button.

You don't even mention what a wrecked cesspool New York is now. It's destroyed. It's finished as a great state. Cuomo is puffing himself up with the PR stunt of banning out of state travelers, something other states wisely did to New York back during the height of the virus, though unfortunately not until New Yorkers spread it around the country.

Who the hell wants to go to New York now though? Between the covid shitshow, the BLM riots, and the communist shitbag mayor gradually crushing the city, people and businesses will continue to flee that cesspool.

The recent elevation in cases was expected with reopenings (why they’ve been phased in with contingency plans) and is from a much lower level than what New York and New Jersey had.

What you ignore is that deaths are still on the decline in the country and in most states, including Texas. The new cases are milder on average, something that often happens with viruses as the deadlier strains burn themselves out, and the sick are younger and healthier, ones active in the reopenings.

Mitigation is still in place and elderly and vulnerable people are still being protected.

But you don’t give a crap about people’s lives, only how you can twist things for partisan political advantage. Good thing you suck at it.

reply

You already stated in another post that you believe 200,000 dead Americans is great! Enough said.

reply

Liar. See? You suck at this.

reply

Of course, you Trumpites hate science.

Take your daily disinfectant injection, yet?

reply

See? You couldn't back up your lie about me with a quote. You leftists hate science, economics, and history.

NY hospitalizations, deaths and daily new cases have reached record lows as Texas rates are reaching record highs.

Texas is closing while NY is opening.

Your "liberation" movement looks dead.

reply

A "record" of about one tenth of the daily 1,000 plus deaths New York experienced for a sustained period at its height. Texas has a long, loooooong way to go before you should even mention it in the same sentence as the Cuomo/Blasio clusterfuck in New York without feeling ashamed.

That also doesn't count any of those killed by the lock downs, which in New York's case came too late but were eventually imposed in too draconian, arbitrary, and tyrannical a fashion. God knows what that death count is, but it will probably be higher than the virus toll. New York has been destroyed by the lock downs, compounded by the communist mayor's war on police, rioters given free rein, etc..

Now a billion dollars cut from the NYPD's budget, a vapid political statement with deadly real life consequences on the streets. No one in is his right mind would want to go to New York anymore. And you're wrong. Texas is still mostly opening.

Another Trump failure! He promised to lower street crime in 2016. Thanks for the reminder.
