I won't be taking vaccine. Will you?

I have never taken a flu shot (vaccine) in my life. I doubt will ever need to until I'm old :P I'm waiting to hear the pricing for the COVID-19 vaccine. Expect Big Pharma to put a price tag on the vaccine between $2000 and $5000 dollars. I hope all insurance companies will refuse to cover it.

Never? Not even as a kid? I took a few as a kid but that's because I didn't really know much about it and thought it was normal thing. After mid-teens I haven't taken a flu shot since. I pretty much let my bacterial flora adapt or maybe train it to adapt even though vaccines probably quickens that pace since the codes are already in them. I don't think I will be taking vaccine as well since it's been months in and I think I may already have anti-bodies for it by now or most of everyone else has them for the most part. They're going to merge it with the common flu shot I think in the near future as part of the other Covids that are already there.

Hey, it's your life, do what you want. I believe in the you can do anything you want as long as it doesn't bring harm or lead to someone's death and if it happens, the punishment would be severe when guidelines are in place. I remember we once eradicated the measles until anti-vaxxers brought it back. Accountability would be they'd be put in quarantine and left to die (aka no vaccine, just like they wanted) else once healed they'll go back to being anti-vaxxers most likely again.

I never take the flu vaccine. I know too many people who ended up in hospitals or died with coronavirus so I'll take the vaccine, but I may wait a few weeks to make sure it's safe.

I have found the natural anti-viral remedies to work wonders. It has caused me to rethink the way I fight infections. My current armament is Vitamin C, Green Tea, and Garlic.

reply

Those are very good. I also do Vitamin D because I was deficient. I used to take zinc, but I switched to Airborne.

I practiced social distancing long before coronavirus appeared. Heaven help anyone with a cold coming within 15 feet of me at work!

I take the flu shot and have never gotten it. I woke up at Sunday morning real early with pain in my side really bad. I've never had a kidney stone but have played sports and know people who have. After awhile I tell myself this isn't going away soon so go to hospital for xray to see how big it is. They tell me that might not be it so need testing. They take urine{I'm dehydrarted from throwing up earlier},Blood I have no reason why but I do have insurance. I finally get xray and they tell me it is a small stone and come back in a week if hasn't passed. They won't let me leave without a iv with pain medicine because I;m dehydrated. It came out the next day and a month later I get a bill for a thousand dollar copay from the 10K bill they sent to the insurance company. I'll take vaccine anytime so not to get robbed by a hospital.

How’s that free healthcare going? Thank Obama. The entire system is a sham now.

I have blue cross. Needed and MRI. I have a $5k copay. So the $1350 for the MRI I knew would come out of pocket. If you pay cash you get a $400 discount. But since they already knew I had insurance I wasn’t allowed to pay cash. Mind you you cannot walk in off the street and get an MRI without a doctor referral.

So I had to go through my insurance. Pay insurance rate which was $400 higher than non insurance rate. #Obamacare

Don't blame Obama for The Tramp destroying it.

reply

This happened 3 years ago. Trump had nothing to do with it.

Nor did he have anything to do with the 500% increase in insurance premiums thanks to Obamacare.

reply

3 years ago was 2017. The Tramp had everything to do with it.

reply

Right. I guess it was my imagination about all the de-funding of all the programs that comprised Obamacare that were spearheaded by The Tramp, after he took office.

reply

To be fair it was effed before Obama. Obamacare didn't go far enough it was hamstrung from the start. Universal coverage is the only way at this point. It's not perfect but nothing is.

reply

Yep sorry to hear it. That's how hospitals do. They're legal robbers like towing companies.

I get the flu shot each year, too. My physician recommends it to me since I work at a university and with college students all day who are incubators for every illness.

In my department, we employ about two dozen student workers aged 18-22. Most every one of them (especially the females) walk into their jobs each day and announce "I have the flu." I respond, "Did you go to student health services and get swabbed? That's the only way you know if you have the flu - if you test positive for it with a swab." (This has been sent in every email to students and staff).

They respond, "No.I just know I have it." This gets repeated every day, and every shift. I venture to guess 100% of them don't have the flu because they wouldn't be walking around campus. Many just need personalized attention - and this is how they get it.

Nevertheless, rather than take chances, I get the flu shot - and never gotten the flu.

You're obviously not the most rational person, but this is such a bizarre comment:

"I hope all insurance companies will refuse to cover it. ."

Why the hell would you root for something like this? Flu shots are complete free via most insurance companies, so if they'd cover something like this and someone wants it, why would you actively hope for them to not be able to get it. You sound fucking nuts.

reply

Most of the outrageous costs associated with hospitals are due to nobody asking about the price. As you just said, the flu shots are free, er, wrong. I don't know, but what does the insurance get billed? I guarantee you don't know either without looking it up.

reply

Health Insurance companies cover the flu shot for the same reason Auto Insurance covers a rock pop in your windshield. It's a lot cheaper than paying the cost to treat the illness or replace the entire windshield.

Judging by the costs for COVID that have been racking up, I'd say insurance companies are going to jump at the chance to cover the vaccine. Which by the way will be nowhere near what the anti-Vaxxers want you to believe.

reply

My flu shot is free but I suppose after so many years any kind of patent trade mark is gone and anyone can make it. My clinic charges 100 dollars for the pneumonia shots they give out.I'm sure whoever comes up with the virus vaccine will put a patent on it and charge 100 dollars also.

reply

My insurance covers the pneumonia shot.

reply

I think mine will also when I get one. Its a older person shot they give. I'm just saying the virus vaccine will cost also when it comes out.

Oh hey. Look, another rational person. We do exist. Hello, friend..

reply

As long as it's unharmful, then why not take the vaccine?

reply

Definitely getting that vaccine. I work in healthcare plus I'm T1D (but otherwise healthy). I'm too deep into the vaccine way of life at this point it wouldn't make any sense to stop now.

reply

I very seriously doubt that I take a C19 vaccine.

If Cuomo goes to prison for putting C19 patients with rest homes residents, I'll take the shot.

reply

All those red state protestor's should be required to take it first! They deserved to used as Guinea pigs since they escalated the problem.
