USA 18,860 / Italy 18,490 (America wins its first World Cup)

To be fair, the PER CAPITA death tolls of Italy, Spain, and France are still higher, but this is a sad Easter weekend all the same.

reply

Sorry, that was an hour ago...19,700 now. Let's hope Georgia, the Carolinas, Florida, and Texas are spared.

Sad, sad, news. And to think just a month ago, T-rump and his minions were talking about 'opening the country so we can go back to our daily lives' tomorrow - Easter Sunday. WOW!

Just a fair warning - by posting these facts, T-rumptards on this forum are going to attack you. They're first going to say you're reporting 'fake news' (that's their knee-jerk response to bad news), and then accuse you of 'tee-heeing', and 'celebrating' this awful news (their second go-to response). They will never understand nor accept the fact that what this news represents is the cold hard facts of the ineptitude of the T-rump Presidency. They've done it to me, as well as a few others who have reported factual news over the past few months.

Some were claiming we would max out at 20,000 -25,000 dead... TWO DAYS AGO. We've probably already blown past 20,000 and it's only Saturday, not even Sunday. All one had to do was take out a calculator and go to the Johns Hopkins website and start adding up death totals in Europe. I stand by my "tracking with Europe" estimate and say 50k to 80k in the USA... and pray I'm dead wrong and it'll turn out to be a gross overestimate. The reality is, though, that 50k to 80k could also be an underestimate.

reply

From what I'm hearing on the news (the real news, not FOX or OANN) it looks like well more than 80K when all is said and done. I sure hope not.

reply

Yeah... I know. Europe is already at 70,000 so that is all too possible.

reply

I just saw we already passed 20,000 this afternoon.

Watch the T-rumptards fill their churches tomorrow - especially in the South.

reply

The mullahs in Iran made the same mistake a few months back telling people to fill the mosques and pray the virus away.

reply

That's what the Evangelicals have been doing all week. They say (on camera!) they are covered in the 'Blood of Christ' so no virus can get to them - they're protected. For their sake, I hope they are.

reply

Religion always makes a pandemic worse. All they can do is tell people to pray which does nothing, and beg for tithes which leaves people with less resources to treat themselves. And the icing on the cake is when those evangelicals turn around and blame nonbelievers.
