WINNING! CNN cuts out coverage of T-rump comments during COVID19 press briefing

On Tuesday, CNN made a very bold move by cutting out any coverage of President Donald Trump’s speech at the daily coronavirus press briefing , and devoting it's time to other members of the task force. Viewers praised CNN for their smart move of not giving T-rump a platform to lie and grandstand during the deadly pandemic.

Some samplings from social media this afternoon:

"THANK YOU @CNN for not airing Trump’s propaganda briefing and only showing the portions from experts and doctors.Other networks need to follow suit. It will save lives."

"CNN didn’t air Trump doing his one man circle jerk but did cut back to the briefing for the actual experts. That’s an interesting work around for the problem of broadcasting dangerous lies and propaganda."

"Interesting - CNN didn’t show the Trump-thing’s dimwitted babbling and boasting, but they cut back to it when the experts started talking. Well done."

"CNN refused to put Donald Trump on the air today. The minute Trump stopped speaking and one of the doctors started speaking, CNN began airing it. Trump's platform for misinformation and hate just took a major hit today. It's about time."

"CNN not carrying Trump's briefing live. Good for them. No one stopping them from covering, verifying & reporting news out of it if there is any."

reply

Bravo ! trump has proven to be such an unreliable conduit for truth, at this point nothing he says is credible. The groundwork was laid long before this crisis, and long before he lost the popular vote and became presidunce. He simply doesn't deserve America's trust.

reply

Indeed, snepts! This is a bold, brave and necessary move on CNN's part. We don't need to hear his lies, his gaslighting, his bullying, his grandstanding each afternoon in a time of crisis. Let FOX and OAN deliver that bullshit to their uninformed viewers.

reply

This just proves even further how the left/leftist media is SCARED TO DEATH of Trump because of his STRONG leadership during a major crisis!
His numbers keep rising so the best they can do is "quiet" him (and twist little snippets of the briefings later) by not letting a joke of a network such as CNN air what the President of the United States has to say during a pandemic.

reply

WRONG AS USUAL !

This proves that CNN is concerned and responsible with the information on COVID19 being presented to their audience, and do not trust anything which comes out of his mouth. They are not giving this Narcissist a podium to lie to Americans just to make himself look good, and use this dire time as a 're-election campaign' each day. That's not responsible journalism - leave that crap for FOX and their viewers. I wish the other networks will follow suit soon (I'm sure they will).

reply

You're wrong as usual, doggie.

Please explain why anyone is even there from CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, CBS, etc. Why are their reporters there asking President Trump questions then? Because they are asking him questions too, not just the doctors.

No, this is all about them being able to TWIST what was said during the conferences. They don't want the public to see it for themselves. Don't bother, they'll spoon feed you later.

I know people who don't listen to what Trump says on a regular basis and they figure they can get the recap on their local news but now (since COVID19 and many are home to tune in) they're paying attention to these conferences and when they hear what is being said for themselves, they're (finally) picking up on the dishonesty of the MSM as to what was actually said. Recently someone in my personal life brought this up to me and I said I know...this is what they've been doing to him all along and I urged them not to trust the MSM.
People are waking up.

reply

Wrong again, Norma!

The reporters have been there for the past two weeks from the networks you mentioned trying to get updates from the leader of this country during a time of a crisis as we've never experienced before. So what has he done in those past two weeks up at the podium?

Gaslighted, grandstanded, bullied, ridiculed, mocked, lied, contradicted, denied, embarrassed, campaigned, etc. He has proven once again, that he is inept and not fit to handle a crisis of this magnitude. You can tell by the number of 'facepalms' reporters caught of Dr. Fauci standing behind him over the past two weeks. You can tell by the 'corrections' Fauci and other medical experts had to give once T-rump stepped aside.

So after two weeks of this nonsense, CNN did the brave and responsible act - they decided to cut away from his bullshit and grandstanding. That's the right thing to do - and the other networks should follow. It's called responsible journalism, which is what we need now.

Leave the grandstanding and bullshitting for the bobbleheads at FOX and OAN and their viewers. They love it. They thrive on it.

reply

I don't know why you think I'm a fan of Fox or whatever OAN is.

You're wrong again, doggie.
Many of those so called reporters are trying to ask gotcha questions, which none have worked. They ask the most stupid questions!!! And ask them again in the same briefing!
Dr. Fauci's facepalm? You mean when Trump mentioned the deep state? 😂😂😂😂😂

CNN doesn't do anything brave or responsible. What a joke!😅
Other networks have been cutting the conferences off for weeks. They'll play a little and resume to regular news. It's a joke. If this is COVID19 is SO IMPORTANT these briefings should be on every channel with everyone glued to their tvs.
I know people who don't have cable or satellite and are dependent on the regular networks to air this. They get disgusted when they shut it off.

But it speaks volumes! They're 💩💩💩💩💩 in their pants!

reply

Nowhere in any of my responses to you did I ever say you were a viewer of FOX News or OAN, so I'm not sure why in the world you would start your response off with that sentence.

'Gotcha questions' is a lame excuse that goes back to Sarah Palin in 2008 when Katie Couric asked her a simple question: 'Where do you get your news from each day?' Palin was stumped over a simple question, and looked like a moron on national TV, just weeks before the election. That was an easy, fair question from a journalist and Palin was a proven idiot. So Palin and the republicans pretended Couric asked a 'gotcha question'.

12 years later, reporters are now asking T-rump questions based on his own statements in his 'press conference' - quoting him verbatim - and these become 'gotcha questions' because he can't answer and take responsibility for what he said moments ago? Or questioning him on what his 'pandemic team' has proposed - a team he put into place ? Those are 'gotcha questions' because he's an embarrassing moron? Damn - you really fall for the bullshit he drops in front of you.

These COVID19 briefings SHOULD be important, but again - he's made a mockery out of them, trying to turn them into campaign circuses which he's so good at doing. He's turned something which should be very important in this time of a pandemic, and has taken to grandstanding, buffoonery, gaslighting, bullshitting, attacking, and embarrassing - just like he does at his campaign rallies which no network airs (except of course FOX and OAN). CNN has done the responsible thing - they cut him out of the press conferences, but air what the experts and administrators around him say when they come to the podium. And we all know that goes up his ass a mile - he can't take credit for the 'big ratings' if he's not part of the show.

reply

You wrote to me "Leave the grandstanding and bullshitting for the bobbleheads at FOX and OAN and their viewers. They love it. They thrive on it."
Weren't you insinuating that I'm a viewer? You've said this to me several times in the past. Or is it just what you generically say to everyone who disagrees with you?

I couldn't care less about Palin. You were obsessed with her "splodey heads keep splodin" though. 🙄

The dingleberries from the msm ask really dumb questions. Either ones that have been asked many times or ones they harp on such as "why do you call it the Chinese Virus." 🙄 The Americans want to know information, not listen to them play their childish games.

But you go ahead, keep staying ignorant. Keep those blinders on and ear plugs in.
CNN is doing no favors for America. They're playing a political game even during a time of crisis and people like you are gobbling it up with a shovel. Enjoy! 💩

reply

Weren't you insinuating that I'm a viewer?

Not at all.

First of all, I wouldn't insinuate - I would've said 'Leave the grandstanding and bullshitting for the bobbleheads at FOX and OAN and their viewers like yourself' . I'm direct - I don't insinuate.

Second of all, me thinks you have some kind of guilty conscience about watching FOX, as you're so defensive and paranoid from my answer. I don't care whether you do or don't.

I'm also not interested whether you care about Palin or not. I was making a point about the Republican knee-response "Gotcha journalism" when they can't answer the simplest of questions - whether it be where they get their news from or to clarify something they said minutes ago. And she's right - 'splodey heads keep on splodin' - now that those Republicans are taking the deadly pandemic seriously after months of calling it a hoax.

Reporters want to know why T-rump would make such a controversial, offensive, nonsensical remark like calling it the 'Chinese virus' in a time of a pandemic. Why does he insist on being divisive when it's a time we all need to pull together. He needs to be responsible for such ignorance - yet, he refuses to answer. Why? Because he's under the illusion he's at a rally surrounded by supporters, and not at a press conference where he's addressing a nation as a leader.

Thank God for the professional and responsible decisions at CNN. They are saving many lives by not airing him and his lies during the pressers.

reply

Oh doggie, you insinuate a lot of stuff on these boards on a regular basis but whatever.

Guilty conscience over watching Fox? Nope. There's only a few shows/people on that network that are worth watching, and no, it's not Hannity.
I wouldn't and don't feel "guilt." Maybe you do though because you're always quoting Fox News. Whenever anyone disagrees with you, you peg them as a Fox viewer. I've seen it time and time again.
Defensive and paranoid, no. YOU are the one who brings Fox into the conversations again and again! I just replied to it because YOU brought it up.

I see you're STILL spewing the lie about it being called a hoax.
I've seen poster after poster explain this to you and many others like you what was actually said but you plug your ears to it because you like the fake story instead.

Calling it the "Chinese Virus" was none of those things you mentioned. You're just touchy, like everyone else on the left.
He's not rallying, for goodness sake. 🙄

No, CNN is irresponsible for what they chose to do. "Saving many lives"--give me a break!!🙄 Why, because some brainless couple decided to drink fish tank cleaner? That's on them. They were stupid and didn't open their ears.

reply

I have to give you credit Norma - of everyone here, you are #1 at Gaslighting. You have an incredible talent for it - too bad it doesn't work on everyone here (just your komrades).

1. Insinuation is your interpretation - I'm certainly not responsible on how you interpret news of what's going on in today's world.

2. Yes, some kind of guilt over your watching FOX news. Anytime I refer to them or quote them, T-rumptards always jump up and say, "Not me! I don't watch it!" I've seen it time and time again (especially on this forum, where everyone denies watching the network, yet everyone can quote their conspiracy theories).

3. No matter how you try to scrub T-rump's past, he called this a hoax by the Democrats and liberal media - and FOX was there to back his claims up.

4. You're in your alternate reality if you really believe he's not 'rallying' every afternoon.

5. Again, Thank God for CNN taking a pro-active stance and taking him off the air.

reply

What "conspiracy theories" of theirs have I quoted? You watch Fox more than I do. You constantly quote them and are obsessed by Fox.

Again, he didn't call it a hoax. You just don't understand plain English.

reply

I don't see a problem with calling out faux spews as a hateful and untrustworthy source at any time for any reason. If it doesn't apply to you, just move on. It's a horrible platform and anyone who indulges in it for anything than research purposes is a stooge for the alt-right and even Russia, as I think they actively troll for trump just to piss everyone off, and expect a snowball effect from the gullible and not very smart.

reply

Cutting out the president speech depending on whether he fits the channel's political orientation is a typical behavior in Latin American countries. This is just another (sad) symptom of the cultural change.

reply

It has nothing to do with political orientation - it has everything to do with responsible journalism, and getting the truth (not lies) out to their viewers. Big difference.

reply

They probably did it to avoid potential lawsuits if they air the president saying something stupid that gets someone killed.

reply

Something's been said this week about FOX being subject to lawsuits for the lies they were saying about COVID19 since the outbreak (which led to Trish Regan being fired last month from the network). I'd like to see how that plays out...

reply

You do realize the people at Fox News can only say so much truth before getting in trouble, don't you? That's why she got chopped. She crossed (their) lines. 😱
Trish didn't say anything we didn't already know, that is, the ones who are paying attention to what's really going on.
That's ok though. Maybe she woke a few people up.

reply

" ... ssnnxxx ... ssnnxxx ... oh, something from false spews? ... ssnnxxx ... ssnnxxx .... "

reply

My God, I had to read your name twice. This sounds like the crazy bullshit Shitstorm27 posts! You're just as crazy as him.

reply

If you're talking about Sandman, I've seen him whip your behind on these boards every time you 2 interact. It's quite hilarious. He's pretty funny the way he makes you look like a fool.
You're by far the crazy one here and every poster knows this. Well, you and a few other gems here are pretty much a tie.

reply

YIKES! Desperate times do call for desperate measures. When you find being compared to Shitman some kind of positive, we all know you've fallen to the lowest level of desperation.

This will go down in 'alternate reality' history:

"You do realize the people at Fox News can only say so much truth before getting in trouble, don't you?"

reply

You just can't handle the truth.

reply

Being compared to me and then being insulted by you can only be taken as a compliment. I mean, duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....

I noticed you began "borrowing" my nomenclature calling people "komrades". By the way, you're welcome. We all know you have a witless mind and since I take up so much space in your empty skull, it was inevitable that you'd be listening against the wall. 🤪🤪🤪

reply

Being compared to me and then being insulted by you can only be taken as a compliment.
