New York native Bloomberg wasted $550m in one month. Liberal Bezos donated $10b to fight global warming.

To get some perspective of $10b,
it would be like spending one million dollars a year for 10,000 years.

During times of crisis, the ultra wealthy usually go into hiding.

reply

Are you advocating redistribution of wealth aka: socialism, Bubba?

reply

Nope, just pointing out how much money has been wasted.

reply

It's their money to spend as they like. What do you care?

Trump doesn't donate to anyone. He has stolen from his own "charity" to such an extent that it was closed down by the NYS Attorney General.

I'm a big believer in prevention and planning. If people had taken the last election seriously, then vital health agencies wouldn't have been crippled by Trump because he wouldn't have been elected.

Right now, Sanders is thinking only about Sanders. If he had any decency, he would stop his unwinnable campaign and support Biden in order to remove Trump from office in November.

As for the poor, attacking unions, destroying consumer rights regulations, anti-Obamacare legislation, pro-corporations policies and tax policies favoring the rich are making people poorer. Continue to vote for the Republican Party which continues to support policies only for the super rich.

At least I know the local politicians where I am are fighting to help the Average Joe. Lives are being saved because of it!

The poor don't need a handout. Register and vote. Complete the Census in order to be fairly represented. Put those who would fight for you in the WH and locally.

Poor need a way out of poverty. Trump's agenda is making the poor even poorer.

Capitalism in the U.S. does. What's your opinion about the Nordic model in Norway, Sweden and Denmark? I believe those countries protect their people even though they have capitalism.

Republicans are pro-rich, correct. If you asked the average person, it would be their first time hearing it. Many people fall for all the diversion campaigns launched by republicans and think it is simply republican vs democrat. It's pro-rich vs pro-employee. Republicans should've died out long ago, but people are stupid.

reply

The Republican party knows there are more Democrats which is why they have resorted to voter suppression. The only way for them to win is by cheating even if it means people die. The Wisconsin primary on April 7 demonstrates that.

reply

And that shut Bubby up. LOL!

reply

Still no word yet if Bloombergs Billionaire Buddies (BBB) ™️ will be donating money to people in New York State.

Bloomberg, who famously spent $550m in 6 weeks trying to become the next President has been a recluse since he dropped out of the Presidential race over a month ago.

To put that into perspective, a person could spend a million dollars a year for 500 years. It would take an average person almost 7 lifetimes to spend that amount of money.

reply

And your point is...? (Assuming you were trying to make a point)

reply

Just stating the facts, I don't know why people don't like facts.

reply

Facts about what exactly?

reply

Whoops ! DJI today : 23,390.77 −328.60 (1.39%)

reply

I dont care, just like pointing out how democrast frivolously waste money yet they do not help people directly.
Dems have no problem giving people the governments money, but in actuality its my money and your money.

Bezos could have given 10,000 people a million dollars or even better he could have given 1 million people 10,000 thousand dollars. But instead he gave it to corporations who will "supposedly" try to reverse global warming.

reply

Money is pointless, should be hoarding toilet paper. It'll be worth billions.

reply

How much are the wealthy currently donating? How much do they normally donate? Which political party are the wealthy members of? Which political party are those who donate affiliated with?

Show your work.

reply

[deleted]

Piss off with that bullshit. No one owes you a damn dime.

And you have no right to tell people what to do with their money.

reply

Yeah, and what about the wealthy people who busted their asses and earned their wealth legally, ethically, and with hard work? There are plenty of them out there, regardless of what the media portrays.

So You think you’re entitled to that? You should just be allowed to steal that money because you want it, or just because you don’t have it?

Just because somebody has more than you, or has what you want or what you wished you had, doesn’t give you any right to demand to have what isn’t yours.

You have a very pathetic worldview. Bernie Sanders and AOC would absolutely love you!

Very solid generalizations too. I think you’re just looking to bait people, and I bit, but there are actually people out there who think like this, and they’re morons. Just because somebody has more money than you, doesn’t give you any right to demand anything from them.

There has never been an ethical, honest wealthy business owner to ever walk the face of the earth.

Yeah, sure, and there’s never been a lazy worker who was jealous of someone who had the skill and innovation to build a large company from the ground up and thought that he/she deserved to be paid the same as the person who created the company.

Careful, your ridiculous bias is showing.

Socialists and communists like you in this country will be the death of innovation, the end of technology and medical advancements, and basically the death of the American Dream. Do you want something??? Go work for it!

I say this for the last time. Just because someone has more than you, gives you no right to be given what you haven’t earned. Here’s an idea. Work hard, climb the ladder, and get your own piece of the pie. Nobody is going to hand it to you.

However, in this random crazy time of crisis when the government won’t let a lot of people work, you should be getting a stimulus check in the mail, and there are a lot of companies that are paying for people to not go to work for the next several weeks, or in the case of Amazon and Whole Foods, are raising wages while they go to work. Bunch of assholes, right?

^ And that's how we know if we belong to God or not - by our love for others.

reply

Blame corporate welfare. Those wealthy people just got $1.9 trillion from the government. The rest of us only get $300 billion of that $2.2 trillion relief fund.

We don't need to take money from the wealthy. We don't even really need to raise their taxes. We just have to cut the string that sends most of our tax dollars into the offshore accounts of billionaires.

It requires the DNC to not screw over someone like Bernie Sanders. It requires them to not hand the election over to Trump. Just like they did in 2016.

However, full redistribution of wealth is not required. You probably think it's needed because crony capitalism has screwed us over for so long that reparations are in order. We don't need reparations. All that's needed is for the top 1% to go back to paying their top marginal rates of 50%. Which is how it was until the 1980s and Reaganomics.

Now anyone that proposes pre-80s tax rates is called a commie. Yes, it has gotten that stupid.

reply

Thank you for pointing this out. I complain about income inequality a lot, and I get responses like "get a job" and "too bad for your luck" but it goes way beyond my own experience. And no one wants to call out Reagan for being the tool he was, a corporate tool. And all these people want to claim they are more patriotic than people who are genuinely concerned for the middle class and future of the nation.

reply

It would return to normal, but people keep voting for Republicans. Stupid people vote Republican solely based on 1 factor and not the big picture.

reply

Please, someone inspire the wealthy to contribute to California's EBT. If you're homeless, without an income, you were ineligible for the disaster allotment because you already receive the maximum amount monthly of $194. Discrimination once again against the poorest of the poor.
