I suppose I did, but I didn’t expect it. These yahoos on here can mock me, but I’ve lived it. Therefore I have great empathy for those who are struggling through no fault of their own or are handicapped. I donate food to the food pantries, and for the Salvation Army, food, clothing, linens, money, and items for it’s thrift store, the local animal shelter needs linens, it also takes food my dog won’t eat. It also has a thrift store. I’ve delivered Meals on Wheels which is a good way to check on the elderly.
We all can do just a small gesture of kindness. On our electric bills we can designate an amount to go into a “pot” to help someone pay their electric bill. One day I was in my local pharmacy to pick up my meds. The woman in front of me was picking up her daughter’s who had a medical problem. She asked how much the second script cost. It was a little over $20.00. She told the cashier she didn’t have the money and would try to get it later. I paid for it. That $20 was a small gesture on my part, but to the woman in need it was a very big gesture. She wanted to send me a Thank You card, but I told her “No thanks necessary! I’ve been thanked!” 🤗
So, Tabby, no matter how bad off we are, there’s always someone in worse shape.
