A 'Bloomberg-Clinton' ticket for 2020 ?

The Drudge Report made waves this weekend, when it reported that Democrat Mike Bloomberg is floating the idea of having Hillary Clinton as his running mate, should he win the Democratic candidacy. A spokesperson for Bloomberg's campaign didn't deny the report, but stated they are focused on the primary season and debates right now, and not a potential running mate.

According to the Drudge website, “Sources close to Bloomberg campaign tell DRUDGE REPORT that candidate is considering Hillary as running mate, after their polling found the Bloomberg-Clinton combination would be a formidable force…” That news was linked to a Tweet the right-wing Drudge tweeted early on Saturday which said (in all caps): “EXCLUSIVE: BLOOMBERG CONSIDERS HILLARY RUNNING MATE.”

Other news outlets picked up on the news, including CNBC, The Boston Herald, NY Post and UK Daily Mail. Most are pointing out that the Constitution does not allow both the President and VP to be from the some state, which would prohibit this 'rumor' from happening. Others are saying Bloomberg has enough time to change his 'legal residence' to another state - such as Colorado or Florida - where he also has homes and owns a lot of property.

I heard about this yesterday. I think her being VP would be beneath her. She's too full of herself.

Trump propaganda! Don't buy into it.

Ever since Bloomberg's poll numbers went up and Biden's down, Trump has been in full attack mode. Don't buy the mudslinging BS from Trump, his campaign or his surrogates' like Matt Drudge who's a Trumpite. Expect Trump to play every dirty trick in the book to destroy Bloomberg's image including breaking the law like he did with Biden.

So far in the past three days, I've heard attacks re: racism, sexism, stature and now trying to connect the unpopular Hillary with him.

That's called a deep fake attack. Before an opponent can respond, it has spread all over the internet and news with help of GOP and Russian bots. Meanwhile, a certain percentage of voters will continue to believe the fake story even after it had been discredited which this one was by Bloomberg almost immediately.

I think you're right - and I think Bloomberg is beating T-rump at his own game...

By not denying this outright and putting the flame out once and for all, Bloomberg is playing it right and getting as much mileage out of this as possible. His poll numbers are rising, and he's getting even more free publicity than he was before. Very, very smart for his campaign.

NO WAY!!!!! I'm for Bernie/Warren or Bernie and the other B

If they want to be sure to waste all his hundreds of millions, go ahead and pick Clinton. No one wants to see her again, and all the proof that we would need that she would make a lousy decision maker and leader was the running of her campaign for 2016.

Clinton can never accept responsibility, and what has she ever really done given all the chances she has had in American politics? Nothing of note.

If there is anything that would get Bernie supporters to not turn out in the next election, or any other Progressive Democrats it would to put Hillary Clinton on the ticket.

But I think Bloomberg is so boring. He does not talk issues at all, he makes a lot of fake promises and cute commercials, but he is about as inspiring as a loaf of white bread.

I don't think Bloomberg is in there for anyone but the billionaires, pretty much like Bernie says he is.

Clinton will not be the VP pick. This is all B.S.
