You've missed me, you really missed me!

Wow - gone for a week, and you guys really missed me. Especially Gubbio - who started not one, but two threads concerned about my whereabouts. WOW! I think he was on 'suicide watch' for the past seven days.

And other messages from other trolls who have pretended I'm on their 'ignore list', yet noticed I was missing, too ! WOW! And to my friends on the forum, who tried to calm the others down - thank you (but it wasn't necessary...I've been enjoying their hysterical responses and reactions!).

So where was I the past week? There are hundreds of guesses, and none of them right . I shall tell you, and set the record straight...

With about a 24 hour notice, I volunteered to go to a seven day work retreat / conference on Information Literacy, covering 'the Digital Divide'. (This was sponsored by my employer.) The DD is a term which refers to the giant gap between those who have easy access to computers/smartphones and the internet (and other technology), and those who don't have any access. It's a social challenge that has a great impact on cultures everywhere, and the impact on sustainability and retention for all. This is especially alarming (as we experienced) during this important election year.

We were divided into two groups - haves and have nots. I was in the latter - no laptops, no internet, no smart phones, nothing for one week (which is really a challenge in this day and age). In our group, we received our news from a handful of newspapers each day, as well as television - free TV, not cable networks. So we relied on ABC, CBS, NBC, and PBS for news each night. There was a contact phone number which family members had access to, and if there was an emergency we could then use our cell phones (no one had an emergency).

To say the least, it was an exceptional week - one which included the ending of the sham impeachment trial, which kicked off the T-rump attack tour, the Iowa debacle, the NH primary, the dropouts, the Gayle King-Snoop Dog war, and more (including news to catch up on in my homestate) - where we had no internet access, just newspapers and local TV.

The attendees (all educators) were made up of liberals, socialists, independents, T-rumptards, and never-T-rumpers who called themselves 'real conservatives'. You could tell who the T-rumptards were at the conferences, just by the way they 'reasoned' with others, and their thought patterns (or lack of such).

It was a very engaging, enlightening week where I learned so much - and what is critical to the election season. You don't realize what you take for granted each day until you don't have it.

Now I'm back - and will be responding to some older threads of the past week as time allows.

Thank You, Gubbio and the other trolls - you really missed me not being here.

Yeah...ya know the adage “Missed like a broken arm”? That’s about the sum of it.🙅🏼‍♀️ A little bit of denigrating Trump voters goes a long way...it’s getting old. Bash Trump if that’s what excites you, but lay off the voters...please? We’ve had 3 serious incidents this week, but you probably aren’t aware of them since your news sources were ABC, CBS, NBC not a bastion of fair news. A pos drove his vehicle into a tent while GOP folks were signing up people to vote. Second incident an angry anti-Trump pond scum came out of a rally and slapped a minor and assaulted two men who came to the kid’s aid. One of the guys lost teeth and a split lip. Third incident: A man was celebrating his 50th birthday while wearing a red cap which read “Make 50 Great Again”. He was assaulted. These incidents were barely covered if all! If the shoe was on the other foot these assaults would have been covered 24/7 on the other networks. I stopped my husband from wearing his red hat.

Fair non-biased news went out the door when Cronkite died. We never knew his political persuasion until after he died. He reported the news, nothing more, nothing less, but he was quite the liberal. To this day I see him reporting about Kennedy’s assassination. The image that is forever sealed was when he removed those black glasses, tears in his eyes...to announce President Kennedy had died.

I always refer to those in the Democrat party as Dems; can you not do the same...Reps or Conservatives?

Which republican party are you referring to ?

The all-but-defunct Tea Party republicans, who oppose T-rump's record-breaking spending?

The 'never T-rump' republicans who still are part of the Reagan party and consider themselves 'true conservatives' and defy everything T-rump did to the party - starting with disrespecting our military ?

The RINO republicans like Mitt Romney who actually grew a pair and now is being condemned?

The T-rumpanzees who have no spine and do everything T-rump wants them to ?

Do tell, as they're too many Republican parties to choose from.

It is rather dragged and drooling, isn’t it? 🤷🏼‍♀️*NO* would be the truth! Did anyone notice no condemnation over the assaults on GOP volunteers by anti-Trumpers? Also against a guy wearing a, oh lordy the sin of all sins, red hat!! 🙅🏼‍♀️ I wouldn’t want to be deer hunting in the same area as an anti-Trumper. Some do hunt but live by the creed “Do as I say, not as I do!” I do believe the TDS crowd would shoot the guy or gal wearing a red hat, gulp, instead of the deer! Like the eco-crazies flying all over the country in their private jets!

BTW, there is one major difference between the Reps and Dems...we call out our own when s/he does wrong. But the Dems are street fighters, so anything goes and without compunction. When is the last time a Dem threw another one under the bus! They don’t! The Dem governor who wore black face is still in office!

reply

I gave you a list of the current 4 Republican parties and asked which one you were referring to. I didn't realize that would stump you.

reply

If you consider that 'dragged out and drooling' then I guess you have a very short attention span just like your boy T-rump (he did say he liked his supporters to be stupid, so you're not disappointing him).

Donald is a lame excuse for a president who has been trolling our country for three years, yet you defend him. You're not a good judge of character. At all.

In all and every post I have ever seen from you around here, you stand with the pro-Trump posters of this board and against the anti-Trump posters. So, what is your position here? You hate Trump but hate his opposition any more? And...you think that's somehow a better position? You are standing on the side of people who have defended some of the most heinous acts of Trump.

To be honest, me calling you a Trump supporter is honoring you because it would at least mean you're standing for something. If this is true and you truly hate Trump, then I have to be honest: I dislike your ilk even more. You remind me of those people who said: "I didn't vote for Trump--I voted AGAINST Hillary".

And you really don't have a right to talk about how I "shame" supporters of Trump when your sole role on this board seems to be "shaming" those who speak out against him. That's literally all that I ever see you do.

And yes, I do find it irritating when I'm constantly referred to as leftist just for having the opinion of hating Donald Trump.

You bring about my irritation while showing plenty of your own in being labeled a Trump supporter. The difference is that many non-democrats hate Trump while I can actually count on one hand the number of people who hate Trump but defend him as aggressively as you do. And yes--every time you try to keep the opposition to him in check you are defending him, whether you see it that way or not.

You're ridiculous. "I don't support Trump but you anti-Trump people need to shut up!". You're worse than the Trumpers. They at least stand for something. You seem to stand for something else.

To be honest, I'm not sure that I believe you but I really don't care. I see what I see and all that I've seen from you is attacks levels against anti-Trump posters. Never have I seen you call out Trump's actions here. Never. That's highly suspect to me that you direct all your "outrage" at anti-Trump people but none toward Trump WHILE claiming you're not a supporter of him.

But, whatever. Take whatever position you'd like. I don't believe you but I don't care either.

Donald Trump is a psychotic madman who is dismantling the stability of our government and if all you can think about in regards to that is "That stupid doggie guy!" and "Those stupid Moviechat trolls!" then I again call to attention your perception of character as well as your intentions here.

Have fun with whatever the hell it is you're trying to accomplish here.

Attention - s/he's desperate for attention, no matter what kind of attention it is. That's more than obvious.

reply

Definitely.

reply

What a rambling, lunatic reply.

And yes, I do find it irritating when I'm constantly referred to as leftist just for having the opinion of hating Donald Trump.

Well in fairness, it's also because you're a Sanders supporter and you say radically leftist stuff like this:

"You're damn right I endorse the labeling of the NRA as a domestic terrorist group and I'm not ashamed of it." - dteam6

"The idiot farmers will continue to vote against their best interests as they always do." - dteam6

"I followed this whack-a-doo religion once upon a time, I must shamefully admit..The Christian religion is sounding worse than ever nowadays." - dteam6

"We have the worst healthcare in the world" - dteam6

And you've made it clear that you hate at least half the country, not just Trump.

reply

Obviously they do as you always respond with lame antics and retort.

reply

Talk about fake news ! I don't believe these incidents actually happened, and compared to the high crimes and treason Trump commits weekly (and I'm being kind) these are like the black-on-black crime that routinely gets ignored. If there are some lefty nutjobs (and I'm highly skeptical of the veracity) doing stupid stuff, it's not an indicator of what all of us moderate Americans want to see. I'm sure there are more demented pro-Trumpers feeling emboldened by the furher's emergence rather than righteously pissed off Americans over reacting to this abomination. You should be ashamed for pushing this garbage while Trump wants to be the Supreme Leader.

reply

First one was widely reported. But then LibTards only read Fake News! No wonder you're so paranoid.

reply

The retreat sounds fascinating! What was the goal and the result? Was it to compare the views of the two groups?

reply

It was indeed fascinating. I look forward to attend more in the future and participate. The goal was to compare the two groups at the end of the week, and the results were what was expected - in this day and age, those without cable and internet were missing out on plenty of news and resources (though in the long run, was it a detriment ? that we will discuss in another meeting).
